What is the real religion I need?
Fast food restaurants like McDonald’s have gained our attention because they have succeeded in preparing food according to our needs. Some coffee shops advertise that they have over 100 flavors and varieties of coffee available. When we go to buy a house or a car, that’s when we can choose the features and necessities that we want. We’re not satisfied with just a couple of flavors like chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. The choice has been made. The products you need are available according to your needs.
So, what about a religion that suits you? A religion that doesn’t make you feel wrong, doesn’t give you strict orders, and doesn’t stop you from the suffocating burdens of do this and don’t do that. Is there such a religion as I have described above? What religion can be chosen like choosing different dishes of ice cream?
Many discourses strive more than one another to get our attention, so why do we think that Jesus Christ is superior, why do we say that someone is superior to Jesus before Muhammad or Confucius, Buddha or Charles Tage Russell, or Joseph Smith? Do you think? Don’t all roads end in heaven? Aren’t all religions really the same? The truth is that not all religions lead to heaven, just as not all roads lead to Indiana.
Only Jesus can speak with God’s authority, because only Jesus conquered death. We find Muhammad, Confucius and many other personalities rotting in their graves even today. But Jesus used his own power to rise from his grave in the cave 3 days after his death on the Roman cross. Any creature that conquers death is not only natural, but absolutely necessary, to receive our attention.
The facts supporting the resurrection of Jesus are consistent. First, more than five hundred spectators who saw Christ rise from the dead. That live audience is huge by any comparison. Five hundred statements cannot be rejected. Apart from that, the facts of the empty tomb are also strong. Jesus’ opponents were supposed to produce his dead and decaying body, but there was no dead body. The tomb was empty. Did his disciples succeed in stealing his body? impossible, Because before this happened, the cave where his body was kept was being patrolled by Roman soldiers. The fearful disciples who followed him closely after his arrest and death on the cross were not likely to face the typical Roman soldiery. Nor would they have given up their lives and become martyrs – many did – frauds – the real fact is that the resurrection of Jesus cannot be humanly explained.
Again, a great person like him who has succeeded in controlling death deserves our attention. He conquered death; So, let us listen to what he has to say. Jesus claims to be the only way to salvation (John 14:6). He is not just one way; He is not one of the other paths. But Jesus is the only way.
And this is what Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). This world is hard and life is hard. Like many here we are bloodied, bruised and battle-scarred. Do you agree? What do you need? Restoration or just religion? A living savior or a dead prophet? Want a meaningful relationship or an empty job? Jesus remains not the only desire—the only choice.
Jesus is the perfect “religion” if you want to seek forgiveness (Acts 10:43). If you want a right relationship with God, Jesus is the perfect “religion” (John 10:10). If you want to live in heaven forever, Jesus is the right “religion” for you (John 3:16). Put your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior; You won’t miss a thing! Trust in Him for the forgiveness of your sins; You won’t regret it.
If you want a “right relationship” with Jesus Christ, here is a simple prayer. Praying this or any other prayer will not save you. Only through faith in Jesus Christ is forgiveness of sins. This prayer is simply to express your faith in the Lord and thank him for forgiving you. “Lord, I know that I have sinned against you, and deserve to be punished. But Jesus Christ suffered the punishment I deserved, so that I could be forgiven by faith in Him. I put my trust in you for salvation. Thank you for your amazing grace and forgiveness! Amen!”
