Many people seem to have deleted the words “sin” and “guilt” from their vocabulary. In doing so, they have made the word “forgiveness” meaningless.
However, the Bible has plenty to say about sin – its source, its dangers, its consequences. In 1 John 1:8 we read, “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.” The greatest danger is assuming that we have no sin.
The very good news is that once we recognize our sins we can confess them to God and He promises to forgive them. Jesus was crucified, died, was buried, and rose from the dead to provide that forgiveness for each of us. As 1 John 1:7 tells us, “The blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.”
Come to Jesus and accept this wonderful gift.T
