Hope is a feeling, an emotion, but it is also a verb. It means to look forward to something with desire and reasonable confidence. Without hope people lose the will to persevere.

When my daughter hopes for snow on a bright September day – that is wishful thinking. But real hope is attainable. It is a rock-solid trust and expectation, and it is found in a person – Jesus Himself. He invites you to put your faith in Him and experience hope that, as the Bible says, is “an anchor for our souls.” (Hebrews 6:19)
