Do you feel old? I just had a birthday and I have to admit that my body feels old on the outside. You may be young by the numbers, yet because of pain, your circumstances, your lifestyle—you also feel old.
Maybe you’re just beginning your adult life and you wonder how could I ever live to be 80 or 90 years old. Whether you’re old by your age and the numbers, or young by your age, this world has such an ability to wear us down.
We worry and it makes us stressed. We have fear and it fills us with anxiety. We spend ourselves on things that take life and hope from us instead of giving life to us. We strive and it makes us exhausted.
This is not the life that we are meant to live. Listen to these words from the heart of God:
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
This is what God wants to do in you and the result is life. And, new heart means new life. You will live as a person who outwardly is getting older and wasting away, but inwardly is being renewed day by day.
Imagine! Do you feel old, my friends? Exhausted from making your way in the world? Will you allow Him to give you a new heart? If you would like to pray with me right now, to ask Him to give you a new heart, I would love to pray for you.
Lord, I pray for my friend. I pray that you will take out their heart of stone. Give them a heart of flesh, and the result will be new life, no matter their age. Amen!
“Will you allow Him to give you a new heart?”
