WHO KILLED JESUS?

Τόσοι πολλοί άνθρωποι ενδιαφέρονται για την ιστορία του θανάτου του Ιησού.

Ίσως και εσείς να είστε αιχμάλωτοι από τον Ιησού Χριστό – τη ζωή, τη σταύρωση, την ταφή και την ανάστασή Του – και να είστε γοητευμένοι από την ιδέα ενός ανθρώπου τόσο θεϊκού που αναστήθηκε από τους νεκρούς. Ίσως αναρωτιέστε ποιος Τον σκότωσε για αρχή.

The answer is found in the truth of the Bible—and it’s an answer that can change your life forever.

Who Crucified Jesus?

You might have heard of Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of Israel who sentenced Jesus to be crucified despite no evidence against Him (Matthew 27:22-26). There were also Jewish religious leaders who wanted Jesus killed because He claimed to be the Messiah—the Savior of the world—and didn’t adhere to their laws (John 5:18). Then there was Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus, handing Him over to the very people who wanted Him dead (Luke 22:3-6).

But we can’t place the responsibility of Christ’s death on any one person or group. It was our sin—all the things we do that go against God—that made His sacrifice necessary. Ultimately, it was God’s divine plan for His Son Jesus to die on that cross—and it happened just as He intended.

Why Did Jesus Die?

Jesus was sent by God to live on earth among sinners like us so we would see our need for a Savior, someone to save us from our sins.

Jesus knew He would be killed. He even warned His disciples in advance, saying, “… The Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again” (Matthew 20:18-19, NKJV).

Ο Ιησούς θυσίασε πρόθυμα τη ζωή Του. Έμεινε στο σταυρό για να αποδείξει την αγάπη του Θεού για εμάς. Κατόπιν, δείχνοντας την αληθινή δύναμη του Θεού, αναστήθηκε από τους νεκρούς τρεις μέρες αργότερα για να διεκδικήσει τη νίκη επί του θανάτου – όπως ακριβώς είπε ότι θα έκανε.

Ο Θεός μας αγαπά και δεν θέλει να δηλητηριαζόμαστε από την αμαρτία. Μας χωρίζει από Αυτόν και οδηγεί στον πνευματικό θάνατο, την κόλαση και την κρίση. Γι’ αυτό ήρθε από τον ουρανό στο πρόσωπο του Ιησού Χριστού για να σηκώσει όλες τις αμαρτίες της ανθρωπότητας με μια πράξη: το θάνατο στο σταυρό. Λόγω της θυσίας Του, μπορούμε να ελευθερωθούμε από την αμαρτία μας και τον θάνατο που αυτή φέρνει.

Δεν χρειάζεται να κουνάμε το δάχτυλο σε αυτούς που  πιστεύουμε ότι  σκότωσαν τον Ιησού. Αντίθετα, στρέψτε την προσοχή σας σε Αυτόν που  ήξερε  ότι θα σκοτωθεί και πρόθυμα επέτρεψε να συμβεί λόγω της αγάπης Του για εμάς. Ο Ιησούς είναι ζωντανός σήμερα και σας αγαπά περισσότερο από όσο ξέρετε.

Θα δεχτείς την αγάπη Του και θα Τον ζητήσεις στη ζωή σου σήμερα;

So be it! Amen! Revelation 1:7 And he was clothed in blood; And his name is called ‘Word of God’. Revelation 19:13 “And behold, I come quickly; And I have my reward to give to every man according to his work. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.” Revelation 22:12-13 Note: Today people don’t even have time to go to heaven. Believe in Jesus Christ and you will receive forgiveness of sins, salvation and eternal life.
