Welcome to today’s devotion.
What can I do if nothing happens?
- Philippians 1:19-21
God says that he has made us righteous. What God has already made us to be, He makes us to be. When sin abounds, does justice abound even more? When sin abounds, will the law and our efforts to do better the next time become even more abundant? Or, when sin abounds, does God’s wrath abound even more? Are we called to this covenant? Never. The Bible teaches us that.
Grace is always above us as well as beneath us (Romans 6:16, 5:2). Righteousness has been implanted in us, and now we are always on the road to regaining lost territory.
The Bible teaches that, as sin abounded, grace abounded even more. Christians are always reclaimers of lost lands. Win Christ and experience life winning, when you don’t know how to win life. Win Christ and experience prayer when you are tired, confused and weak. Win Christ and experience the building up of the flesh, when you are easily intimidated, prone to backsliding, shy and insecure. Those areas will be won (taken back) when we are inexperienced or have failed at times.
Grace assures us success. As sin abounds, grace abounds even more. May we never succumb to lost areas or their implications. Let us immediately restore the death of the lost fields by standing in the midst of it with life. When my sin abounds, grace and life replenish the areas I have lost. In every step of my life I have become liberating and I am not really ashamed of anything.
