Welcome to today’s devotion.
The battle is won
- 1 Samuel 17:9
Throughout our lifetime we will meet with the Ashurs, seeing as they are immovable obstacles. What will you do when faced with a challenge? He is wearing a strange outfit, which is prepared for war. Asuras are always ready to launch physical attacks to achieve physical goals. There are two types of spiritual warfare that we use; We can see Ashur, and we can see his clothes, and we can decide to fight in that way. We wear our bodies with all their natural strength, and face battle. Or, we may realize that the physical garments do not match our spiritual life and decide not to fight according to the flesh, because the weapons of our warfare are not of the world, but of God, (1 Corinthians 10:4).
Goliath offered Israel a conditional deal. Satan wants us to think that if we do not fight with him or if we fight in some area of our life, then the soul (our soul) will come to serve our body. No. We never have to give place to a conditional agreement, when God has already given us unconditional victory. This does not mean that we do not suffer momentarily in the battles of our lives because of practical truths. This means that God is not partial to anyone and that you can experience victory before you win because you are hidden in the conqueror. We don’t need to fight. The war is over and Ashur is defeated, and we are victorious. So open the gloves of Mukkevaz, ring the bell of victory, and soon you will find that the adversary will be sick, and tired of hearing of his defeat.
