Jayamsih!!! Welcome to today’s devotion.
A king comes to reign
John 7:42
is very indispensable for teaching people through God’s mercies. The reason is that the savior came from David’s seed. An imperishable seed comes into our lives through the seed of grace. One brings grace to the personal rule of a king. This King has defeated death, defeated life, and crucified every part of man, so that mercy may rule over all Israel and not just one part. Where mercy is not allowed to rule, we will never know Christ as King.
We may know Him as Savior, but we will never benefit from the power of the throne as He sits as King. Christ in his kingship is born only in the heart of a mercy. Mercy prepares a place for the Son of God to be born in our hearts. Grace does not prepare the place for a king to be born in Saul’s house. Saul was not David’s son, therefore he is not a type of son of mercy. Solomon was David’s son and, because of that, God promised David that He would never take His mercy or His spirit away from Solomon, no matter how wicked Solomon was. Because Solomon was a son of grace, and grace receives the results of grace in the reproduction of its life.
The throne of David was established because of Abner’s decision (2 Samuel 3:21), which stands for the will of man. Man’s will chooses grace and Cupa reigns and gives man a feast of victory. Before we can experience a king we must first know grace, and before we can enjoy the reign of the throne we must experience the life of a king.
