Jayamsih!!! Welcome to today’s devotion.
The provision of green grass
Psalm 23:2–4
The most extreme thing Satan can do in the throat experience is to cast the darkest shadow of death. But a shadow is only a form, and has absolutely no substance in it. The only place where a shadow can ever form an object is in a person’s imagination. The shadow never had any power to kill or destroy, or even to tell the truth about a situation. It casts darkness to give it a power.
David received this revelation from God when King Saul was trying to kill him. David had already received God’s anointing to rule, but Saul was on the throne. After we are born again, we have the anointing, but many times there is a Saul ruling our lives, even long after God’s anointing has come upon us. But in time, just as Saul was killed by the sword in 1 Samuel 31, the things in our old nature, which wanted to rule, will be put to death by the sword of God’s word. After that, our anointing will not only be residential, but it will be a managerial manifestation of our kingship of the throne of God.
In what appears to be a deathbed, God has a plan for you. He makes you lie down on green grass. He will not make you lie down in trouble or despair. He will never lead you to a place where you cannot be fed and receive the water of life. Shadows may make your situation look like death, but Christ wants you to rest on green grass. The shepherd loves you very much. Enjoy God’s personal provision of love for you.
