Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion.
Bound in chains of life
1 Samuel 25:29
The human mind is capable of holding many thoughts, which can persist for a very long time. The thoughts that our human computer receives are either consciously or subconsciously noted down. In the course of a typical day, we absorb thousands of impressions into our minds.
These influences are statistical and often determine who we are in a given situation. “For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he,” (Proverbs 23:7). As Christians, we must be careful to regulate that computer by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. All influences that we receive must be regulated by God through us. The dust of the world accumulated in one day must be washed away by the power of the living word, so that our minds can be renewed (John 13:10, Ephesians 4:23). All our sins of the past must be cleansed by the blood of the Lamb through faith (Hebrews 9:14).
(Frontal Lob Activity) The activity of the frontal lobe of our mind casts down through obedience every thought and lofty thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:4-5), allowing the word of Christ to dwell richly within us (Colossians 3:16). . Through the power of the Holy Spirit and through the flow of God’s word, we become useful through God’s thoughts. No longer are we the simple co-products of thousands of daily projections, opinions, or emotional attitudes, but now we are eternally purposed through the discipline of God’s life.
