Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion.
God is within you.
1 John 4:15
It is one thing for a believer to dwell in God, but another thing for God to dwell in a believer. A believer can dwell in God and have all the protections, and righteous provisions and all the shelters that he needs; But for God to dwell within a believer who still has a sinful nature is quite another matter.
The only way for God to dwell within a believer is if he is separated from all that is bad and evil about the believer. God is holy, righteous and perfect, because He is, He could not dwell, if He had to take away the original sin of the believer. But when He has removed the penalty of sin and the imputation of sin in His holy character, then a believer can find God dwelling within him, the cause of the atonement.
Man cannot understand what it means to know who God is, to dwell in who God is, or to be abiding in Him who is God? Man often thinks about who he is, instead of figuring out who God is. The result is that man enters into a lot of self-evaluation, instead of thinking only about God, thinking that it will make him less of all kinds of problems.
Consider the arrangements. We are dwelling within God, and He will protect us forever from the devil, from the demons of hell, and from all the enemies of the atmosphere. And because God dwells within us, he preserves us from the penalty of sin and from the habit and rule of the sinful nature; Because of the atonement, the believer is left to live with the righteousness transmitted.
