Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion.
Vain glory or Christ?
Galatians 5:26
If we are exalted and boastful, we communicate in the system of vain glory in which we live. The system of feeling insecure that we have, because we lack freedom, leads us to an emotional illness, mentally weak and living like a force, living in a curse. The system makes our mind busy. We have knowledge of sin. We see others and compare them with others. We rejoice in their failure and tear them down when they succeed. Because of our achievements we think about our achievements in our leisure time. We imagine how others see us and begin to fly with wings of self-respect and vainglory.
The substance of Jesus Christ gives us freedom. This freedom gives us solid intentions and a mature mind. Instead of living in a colorful world of imagination that only revolves around us, we live with a life that reveals Christ. Once we have tasted him, how can we taste another (John 6:68)? Love rejoices in truth and not in mediocrity. Through the breath of the Holy Spirit, our soul is filled with God consciousness. Now Christ is our heart.
In our spare moments, reality is our omnipresence. When someone succeeds, instead of being jealous, we rejoice together in the same winning spirit that is spread in us. Rather than rising to discover our weaknesses, criticizing, or raising issues for self-esteem beliefs, we think no evil and cover countless sins with love. This is freedom. Freedom is living a full life, a life that is not our own – but His.
