Listening: Our Meaning
Mark 4:24-25
- What you have heard, know and obey God’s voice. Saul of Tarshish became the chief apostle of the untimely born simply because he heard the voice of God. Peter heard the voice of God when he was retreating and heading for destruction. He denied the Lord, saying, “I do not know that man.” When Peter committed a terrible sin, Jesus also spoke to him. “You may have reasoned deeply, Peter, you have no way out of this, but if you truly love me, begin to serve and feed my people with the love you experience and the grace you receive.
The woman with the issue of blood heard the power of God and His power to heal. Because she listened and followed, she experienced the fullness of Christ’s touch in her life. The voice of God’s love drew him and healed him. Listen to God’s voice in your physical pain. In the stillness of your time, with all past gone and your vertical positive relationship established, listen to God’s voice. Accept your healing, listen to God’s voice, and follow God in faith in your healing. Jesus healed the woman with the issue of blood; He healed the blind, the crippled and the lame.
People began to hear God’s voice and they were healed. God wants to build us in every area. Be practical and believe that God has not changed his behavior of tears and love. “I am the Lord who heals.” Listen to the voice.
