Everything Makes Sense With God
1 Kings 8:12
- Hear the voice of Christ saying; “When I knew all that you had done in sin, I paid the debt of your sins to save you from the wages of sin, which is hell. I want to live within you through the gift of eternal life. I want to live in you, not letting anything in your life be wasted. If you fail, I will make something good out of it. If you fail, you will not be completely thrown down. If you are unknown, I will cleanse you with my blood from the sins of ignorance. I will never leave you, and never forsake you, no matter what you do. I came to live in you to redeem you, nothing for you and through you I will do in vain.”
How could Paul thank God for the church in Philippi with all the memories? This is because Paul knew that God did not do anything in vain, and that God’s people had a meaningful purpose for every single thing that happened in their lives.
People live vain lives, despising their circumstances because they think there is no God in it, but no circumstance is ever in vain. Although it may seem dark, darkness is like light to God, (Psalm 139:12) and darkness is not vain to God, because He hides in it, (Psalm 18:11).
Jesus was on the cross, and he said, “Father, forgive them.” Stephen, as he was stoning them, said, “Let them not be charged with this sin.” They did not live in their circumstances. Unconditional love does nothing in vain, because it never demands conditioned responses. - Today’s reading passage: Jeremiah 47-49
