Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion!
Who will believe the news?
Isaiah 53:1
- “Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?” The Bible is a constant message of truth, which reveals life because of the tenderness of love. Whoever does not believe this news, will not receive the light of God’s arm. They will believe that their circumstances have shortened God’s arm, and that He is unable to sustain them (Deuteronomy 33:27).
When we consistently believe the news, we begin to accept it. Faith is the condition of your heart to accept God. When someone is mature in faith, he is a person who accepts well. An acceptor ceases to respond, and a responder ceases to produce. When we believe the news, we will grow from one glory to another.
The sin of unbelief is as terrible as the sin of drunkenness. It is not as bad as it is for man, but it is very abominable for God (Isaiah 1:4). When we live in this state, we are interrupted by the light of God’s power. Any time we do not believe, we offend the Lord, (Isaiah 53:5). He has the power to give without sacrificing anything in love; But because of its perfect, flawless nature, it hurts when it is denied. A believer hurts God more, when he rejects the news, than an unbeliever, who lives in sin, because unbelief breaks our fellowship with Him.
What is the news? It is that He is beautiful for the circumstances, (Psalm 48:1) and that His grace is sufficient, (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). - Today’s reading passage: Jeremiah 17-19
