Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion!
1 Samuel 15:2-3
- God’s dealings with the nation of Israel A fter giving a very clear spiritual example in the instructions, God has a special attitude toward Amalek. They are pictures of the sins that imprison us, which lurk in the innermost corners of our human nature, waiting for the moment of weakness to retreat.
- We are all open to weakness. There will be times of natural weariness, disdain, and neglect; And God has arrangements for those things. But there is an enemy who is waiting, and he uses those times of weakness to attack, he does not attack when we are strong and built up, because he is timid and cowardly to power, as he was to the nation of Israel. He fears our power in the gospel, but he waits patiently, until our main power is exhausted. Once matthhar occurs, it is possible that in some areas a person may deviate from the right path or become sluggish and spiritually backward. Then the enemy rushes upon him from his hiding place, and attacks him at his greatest weakness. At this point he cannot fight and is probably very isolated.
Satan uses believers to his advantage, and God is angry with this. God’s program for this is the same program that He anointed for Saul, but Saul did not fulfill it. God’s defensive attack is to uproot the enemy when you are strong, to completely destroy him before he waits for your weakness!
