Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion!
Now those who do not follow him
1 Corinthians 9:24-27
- We must bring our bodies under the kingdom of God’s body. Do not allow your flesh to follow the path of its own mental ego trips, because that egoistic nature will cause you to rebel against Christ.
Endure the trial by faith and do not give in to the desire for rebellion. There is a key for those who have given up. They are those who have never learned to minister to others. If a man could see his purpose in building a living temple, he would never give up in the ministry of God. In John 6:66, to leave the body of Christ is to leave Jesus and no longer follow Him. People think they can leave and worship God in their own way.
To leave the life-winning ministry is to never follow Christ again. In 1 John 2:19, to leave the ministry in Ephesus is to leave God, the authority, the umbrella, the plan. It means letting go of people, arrangements and umbrellas. Leaving is a sin unless it is led by the Spirit itself to leave.
Make sure you finish your race. Get busy in the arena, fighting the good fight of faith. Finish what you started. Never think about giving up. Be faithful till death. Count every moment as precious and never think of it as a waste, because God never runs out of grace that keeps you strong in every situation. What is more important for us: to be recognized by people because of our ministry or to be recognized by God as a great servant of His life?
