- The Suffering of the Fallen Pattern
1 Peter 4:1-3
Some people suffer because of their circumstances. Others may be suffering due to trials and negative flow of enemies. These people do not have God’s mind or mood to live in that thing, which can be presented to Christ through the will. They assume a mood of resentment towards what they do not like, but it leads them to despair, peacelessness and void of a life that can be experienced. If we know Christ in the reality of our personalities, we see that this suffering has no real purpose. People suffer in their own personality and then circumstances bring reality to that suffering personality. The problem is that even though many things are taken to Calvary, they themselves forget to bear the truth in their creation. Our pattern and texture was that, of course, that which was given to us by God; But because of the fall, it has entered into the effects of human depravity and lost man.
Without the replacement of personality, which means being cleansed in the reality of God’s personality, a man is left with the stained fabric of life for years, and that too without God’s umbrella over his mind and emotions. Perhaps as a child, that person must have been rejected, lived in poverty, rebelled or arrogant. He brought that personality to the Christian faith. That person lives in the personification of human depravity, never experiencing the eternal purpose of glorifying God through his fixed pattern. With his personality, this person has never traveled to Calvary, that is why this person lives without the reality of God in every expression of his personality.
