Three Days Out of Egypt
- Exodus 5:1-2
God has a plan, and Satan has a challenge. God has a purpose, and Satan has a prelude to prevent that purpose. There is life with God, and there is a bond with Satan. God is a friend, and Satan is a harsh master. God wants to get his people out, but Satan doesn’t want to lose what he holds. Many people willingly declare their rebellion, thus showing that they are Satan’s collaborators. When people think they are free from something without submitting themselves to God’s administration in their inner hearts, they are not.
If you stay in Egypt, the pharaoh will make your life in Egypt very difficult through harsh masters. God sent Noah before the flood. God sent Enoch and Elijah to judge. Before Israel went into captivity, God sent prophets. To prevent you from facing anger without compassion, compassion comes before anger. Instead of giving room to Satan, accept the provision of grace now. God gave Pharaoh an opportunity to let His people go, just as God gives us, which He does through the Word of God, an opportunity to throw down captivity and come out from under Pharaoh.
Fighting with our own pharaoh is no longer a reason. Let us submit to God and let Him bring us the separateness of the resurrection, which is the reason for the three days after the exodus from Egypt. Out of death, freedom from captivity, forgiveness from sin, and life from peace instead of judgment – which is separation from resurrection.
