This verse introduces two classes of people for whom the Bible and Bible education are beneficial. Simple and young. Simple refers to an open mind and willingness to learn. Young refers to prudence and ingenuity in terms of sorting through learned information.

A simple word has nothing to do with a sophisticated standard of living.

The word young has nothing to do with physical age.

Therefore, the doctrine of the Bible, which is available to all, benefits only those who want to learn and are willing to learn, and can examine and reflect on the information they learn, so as not to be deceived or taken advantage of. , or lead down the path of false teaching.

The world is full of philosophies and idealisms that sound good on the surface, and only cater to the drives of the sinful nature, but have no substance or basis in truth.

Only Bible doctrine, learned through a legitimate spiritual learning process, penetrates the soul and binds to the soul, changes the whole life and essence of the person, and builds a sophisticated spiritual structure within the soul that lasts forever.

False teaching is only temporary, and does nothing but mislead and misdirect one’s life.

And the only way to avoid false teaching, is to follow the instructions in God’s Word, to listen, examine and compare the information taught, and to do so while under the control of the Holy Spirit, which control only exists when there are believers. in fellowship.

And by the way, there is no emotional or physical sensation regarding the Holy Spirit, when you are in communion. So don’t be fooled by Holy Roller claims of Holy Spirit experiences.

We live in the dispensation of the church age. Ours is the only dispensation where we have the full canon of Scripture.

We live in an age where there is no revelation from God, no dream or vision, no voice in the head or writing on the wall.

We live in the age of the royal family. For in Christ we are made royal, the family of God, firstborn, joint heirs for eternity. Our spiritual life is connected with the words written in the Bible. It is our only source of communication from God, and that is why God exalted His Word above His name, because our spiritual life depends entirely on the teaching of God’s Word and our learning it, and growing in our spiritual life.

Through doctrine, we are given everything we need to advance in spiritual maturity and prepare for the next life.

There are no miracles, no magic, no smoke and mirrors with which we look for answers to the mysteries of the universe.

All answers come from biblical doctrine, learned through a spiritual process designed by God. Thus through theory we can learn and understand what is right and wrong, what is true and what is false.

The only thing standing in our way is ourselves, and our unwillingness to listen, to learn, to consider what is being taught.

Teaching and testing are two key elements in the learning process of the spiritual life.
