God’s Humble and God’s Grace (God’s humility – God’s grace) The humility of the Lord Jesus Christ is seen in the house of Simon the leper and the grace of Jesus is seen towards a woman. Jesus Christ became Lord God and humbled himself and left heaven and came to earth. (Philippians 2:5-8). Jesus prepared to come not only to the home of Simon the leper but also to this sinful earthly world. Cursed Jericho wanted to go to town. (Mark 10:46). Jesus loves to go to any village, any town and any street, any home, any heart. Let us prayerfully meditate on some important points from these verses.
1. God’s love is immense:
“He was in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper…” Jesus’ love was not narrow but immense. Because God loves everyone in the world. (John 3:16). No matter what the disease, no matter what the pain, no matter what the circumstances, He will continue to love us. His love consists in seeking the lost (Luke 19:10). Love covers many faults. That’s why Jesus came to Zacchaeus regardless of how many faults he had. God’s love calls sinners (Matthew 9:13) God loves the sinner but hates the sin. That is why His love is so great. We hate sinners and lepers. But he reaches close and hugs her. There is no partiality in Jesus’ love. He is Lord of all (Acts 10:36). Jesus loves the good and the bad as the rain and the sun fall on everyone. He changes whomever he wants to change. So we see Jesus’ love in coming to the home of Simon the leper is immense. Dear brothers and sisters, are we able to love everyone without prejudice?
2. Food of God:
“When he… sat down to eat… Jesus’ food was to do God’s will (John 4:32-34). Our Supreme Father has assigned work to all of us in this world. He gave talents to everyone according to their abilities. We should use these in our service life. Only then will God call us a “good and faithful servant” or a lazy and bad servant. How do we hope to be called? Jesus loves to dine in the homes of those whose hearts are opened. (Revelation 3:20). God does not force his way into our homes. He is the king of kings. That means he comes with respect. We should be ready for that. We do not know when he will come and beat us. In 1 Sam 16:7 it is written that men look at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. When we noticed that woman came with a very valuable Accha Jatamansi Attaru Buddi, I broke the attar and poured it on his head. It is not what we give to God that matters but how we give it. It is written that Jesus was hungry (Matthew 21:18). How can we satisfy his hunger? Let’s examine the soul.
3. The woman’s recognition of Jesus as the Son of God:
In Matthew 22:21 it is written that God’s money must be paid to God. She recognized that Jesus was the Son of God, so she spent God’s money on God. According to the word of God she did not think about tomorrow (Matthew 6:34). I am confident that when I submit to God, He will fulfill all my needs. and 1 According to 10:1 anointing is analogous to anointing and worship. Here she worships Jesus with all her heart and soul. How blessed is she! 2 Kings 12:4-15 God’s people spent money for God’s temple when they observed the verses. Beloved in the Lord may God make you wealthy, rich and great. Are you able to spend your money for the service of God, for the needs of the gospel service, for the ministry of God’s people? Are you able to give to God what is His? God calls those who do not do so thieves. Be careful! Tithes, gifts, thanksgivings,Are we giving promised gifts and special gifts?
4. Obstacles to those who are in God:
“But some were angry – why should this Attar be harmed like this? They grumbled about her, saying that this ointment is worth more than a hundred dinars, and that it can be eaten by the poor.” As we see in Matthew 14:1-11, Jesus’ relationship with God is what Satan tries to convince Jesus’ mind to think differently. But Jesus here conquered the flesh, the eyes and the cage of life. As the proverb says that the worlds are crows, when we come to God, Satan tries to put many entanglements. In John 9:34 the blind man being healed by Jesus was revealed by the people. That means the hard work has started. We must face such hardships and move forward. God’s name is glorified when we come out of our troubles. The serpent in Genesis 3:1 diverts the mind to whether this is true with the woman. Satan is trying to turn God’s word into a lie. Adam listened to Satan’s words. Eve transgressed the commandment and sinned. They have lost the eternal preeminence with God. Therefore, dear friends, we must guard against the words of the people around us from breaking our relationship with God.
5. Infinite blessing for her trust in God:
“Wherever this gospel is preached in all the worlds, her deeds will be praised as a memorial… her blessing is still an example to us. Wherever the gospel is preached, her testimony is published. Although she died, her testimony was not death. When God blessed Abraham, he blessed him for generations (Genesis 12:1-2). When we are blessed by God we are a constant blessing to others. Not only that, God will make us a blessing to the Gentiles forever. Let us consider if we are somehow blessing to others through our life.
Beloved people of God, God loves everyone in this world. He pours his blessings to make us worthy even if we are not worthy to receive this love. And shall we receive such a blessing?
