Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion.
Crucifying Love in Sorrow
Luke 23:27-28
Aren’t we somewhat strange people? Can we praise the Son of God, spread palm leaves in His path, and shortly thereafter cry out for the crucifixion of the very Son of God whom we praised? Is it not strange, and as Pilate, we can say, “Take him and crucify him, for I find no fault in him?” Is not this confusion and double-mindedness in the heart of man strange, and the exact opposite of what he sees to be true?
Without the commitment of God’s word and the power of the Holy Spirit, it is far beyond human ability to make a true decision. Man too often fails to see the power of cosmic power in their plan to crucify love. Man himself is constantly participating without knowing the place he is opening.
If a man does not abandon his heart to God, he will continue to go against God’s plan, to some extent, and join Satan’s plan. Satan has not even called you to be an active participant. Inaction will be as acceptable as a direct declaration against the kingdom of God. An inactive man always has some kind of compassion for Christ and His work but never joins it, for fear of losing his own life. Jesus told the people in Luke 23, not to weep and mourn for him, because he was willingly dying and suffering for the guilty. Never feel sorry for the true disciple of God, but feel sorry for yourself in your godly repentance, that you will lose yourself in your eternal experience.
