“Generations come and generations go,
but the earth remains forever.” – About 1,100 years before the birth of King Solomon, Jesus Christ *
These ancient Bible writers felt that human life was more like the water of Crab than the eternal earth. Even though thousands of years have passed, many generations have come and gone, but the earth is still alive today. Really! The earth has proved to be very durable and reliable.
After World War II, great changes took place in the world at a rapid pace. In the last 70/80 years, people have made great strides in the fields of automotive, media and other technologies. Due to this, the economic condition of the world has also taken a big leap. Many people are now enjoying a higher standard of living, which was considered impossible a few years ago. On the other hand, the earth’s population has tripled.
But there is a great price to pay for all these things. The condition of the earth is deteriorating due to human activities. If this continues, the natural cycles, which are essential for life on Earth, will soon cease to function properly. Some scientists say that we have entered a geological age called Anthropocene. In this age people have done more destructive things than ever before in the history of the earth and this order is increasing day by day.
The Bible foretold that the time would come for mankind to ‘destroy the earth .’ ( Revelation 11:18 ) Some people think that we are living in the same time. How much more damage will humans do to the earth? Earth’s condition will never improve, will it? Will Humans Really Destroy the Earth Forever?
Earth’s condition will never improve?
Does Earth’s Condition Really Improve? According to some scientists, it is difficult to predict the extent to which changes will affect the earth. Scientists are worried that sudden and unexpected changes in the climate could lead to catastrophic events.
Consider, for example, the ice sheet in western Antarctica. Some believe that if sea and earth temperatures continue to rise as they do now, Antarctica’s ice sheets will melt and never freeze again. Why This is because the ice layer reflects the sun’s rays. As the ice layer melts, the sea beneath the ice layer appears. Seawater, on the other hand, cannot repel sunlight like ice. As the sea surface becomes black, the sea absorbs more sun and melts more ice. If so, it may be impossible to stop this destructive process. If the melting of ice does not stop, the water level in the oceans will rise and millions of people could be affected.
Environmental problems are on the rise
Various plans have been made to solve the problems in the environment. One such plan is sustainable development, which has been going on for a long time. Sustainable development means doing economic and social development work without harming the earth’s environment. What has been the result of this plan?
Sadly, people have misused natural resources and this is increasing. The earth has the capacity to compensate for any shortages in its natural resources. But people have been using natural resources so that the earth cannot compensate. Is there a solution to this problem? Says one environmentalist: “In a sense, we have no way to streamline the use of the earth’s natural resources.” Yes, as the Bible says, “man has no power to guide his steps.” – Jeremiah 10:23 .
But the Bible assures us that the Creator will not allow humans to destroy the earth’s environment forever. Psalm 115: 16 states: ‘God gave the earth to mankind.’ Yes, this earth is a “good gift” given to us by our heavenly Father. ( James 1:17 ) Gifts from God can be short-lived and will soon be perishable. And? No! Can’t be This is evident from the design of our earth.
What will the Creator do?
The Bible explains in detail how God created the earth and designed it. According to the Bible, in the beginning the earth was “without shape and without. There was darkness over the bottomless sea. ” The Bible also states that “water” was essential to life. ( Genesis 1: 2 ) Then God said: “Let there be light.” ( Genesis 1: 3 ) Then the sun’s rays penetrated the atmosphere and reached the earth, and for the first time, light shone on the earth. And the account shows that God separated the dry land and the sea. ( Genesis 1: 9, 10 ) He then created “plants, seed plants and fruit trees of his own kind.” ( Genesis 1:12 )Thus, after all these things came into existence, natural cycles, such as photosynthesis, began to exist on Earth. What was the purpose of the Creator?
The ancient prophet Isaiah wrote of God: “He that formed the earth and made it, and established it, did not create it to be empty, but he made it to be inhabited.” ( Isaiah 45:18 ) Clearly , God created the earth for the purpose of allowing humans to live forever.
So sorry People have pretended not to get the goods. They have ruined the earth, a beautiful gift from God. But the purpose of the Creator has not changed. An ancient man said: “God does not lie, because he is not a man, nor is he the son of man. He does not change his mind. Doesn’t he do what he says? ” ( Numbers 23:19 ) God will not allow the earth to be destroyed forever. Instead, he will ‘destroy the destroyers of the earth.’ And that time is fast approaching . — Revelation 11:18 .
The earth will last forever
In the famous Sermon on the Mount, Jesus Christ, he said: “Happy are the people who are mild-tempered, for they will inherit the earth.” ( Matthew 5: 5 ) In the same sermon, Jesus Christ also spoke about the means God uses to protect the earth from destruction. He taught his disciples to pray: “Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth. ” Yes, God’s Kingdom, the Kingdom, will fulfill its purpose when it created the earth . — Matthew 6:10 .
Regarding the remarkable changes that the Kingdom will bring, God says: “Look! I am making all things new.” ( Revelation 21: 5 ) Does this mean that God will destroy the earth and create a new one? No! No Because there is nothing wrong with the structure of our earth. So God will destroy “the destroyers of the earth,” the human governments that are now ruling the world. They will be replaced by ‘new heavens and a new earth.’ The new heaven refers to the new government that will rule from heaven, while the new earth refers to the new society of people living on earth . — Revelation 21: 1 .
God will compensate for all the damage that humans have done to the earth’s natural resources, and then the earth will be in a condition where all living things can live forever. Regarding the work that God does, one psalmist said: ‘By caring for the earth you will make it very prosperous.’ Then the whole earth will be a beautiful garden, with abundant crops, without having to worry about natural disasters. Above all, God will bless everything there . — Psalm 65: 9-13 .
According to Pyarelal, secretary to India’s spiritual leader Mohandas Gandhi, Gandhi had said: “The earth has the capacity to meet the needs of all people but not the capacity to satisfy the selfish desires of all.” God’s Kingdom will remove the root cause of the earth’s problems. How so By changing people’s minds. The prophet Isaiah foretold that under God’s Kingdom, humans would “do no harm” to one another and to the earth. ( Isaiah 11: 9)In fact, people with different cultures and circumstances are still learning to live by God’s high standards. They are learning to love God and neighbor, to show gratitude, to care for the environment, to conserve natural resources, and to live in harmony with God’s purpose for mankind and the earth. God is preparing them to live on a paradise earth. Ecclesiastes 12:13; Matthew 22: 37-39; Colossians 3:15
The Bible’s description of creation concludes with the words: “God saw everything he had made. Look, that was great. ” ( Genesis 1:31 ) Really! God will never allow this beautiful earth to be destroyed. It is comforting to know that the future of the earth is in the hands of our loving Creator, Jehovah. He has promised that the righteous will possess the earth, and will abide therein forever. ( Psalm 37:29 ) Only “righteous people” the people who live by God’s standards र will have the earth as their home forever. We want you to be one of them.
