Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion.
Do we hold back the truth?
Romans 1:17-18
Righteousness is revealed from faith to faith. The righteous, who live in righteousness from Christ, live by faith. The wrath of God is revealed against that which is not from faith to faith. There are many who hold the truth unrighteously, because they hold the truth of Christ without the righteousness of faith which reveals the righteousness of God. They get education or they get knowledge but they don’t experience faith. Truth is established in their intellect, and they live by the letters of what they believe to be true in their own knowledge, and yet they are without expression of the life of the Spirit. They cannot express what they hold back, and they live a life muddled by their own inability to exercise faith in Christ. They may have held onto the truth of the truth of faith without practicing it in faith.
We believe in the Word and trust in Christ, have a faith based on the Word that goes beyond the acceptance of arguments, and place this faith in a Person (Jesus). Or, where we speak of Christendom we may have life and go forth with human co-presence in religious works, and yet remain barren because we hold the truth in unrighteousness. One can hold on to true knowledge, but faith is practiced without expressing the grace of God who gives life to that truth. In the righteousness of God, we grow from faith to faith. Those who hold back the truth frustrate grace because they remain passive, meaning they do not enter into the possibilities or the glorious reality. May faith blossom and may God’s will be revealed.
