Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion!
Faith sees light in darkness.
Job 23:9, Ephesians 1:18
In dark places there are hidden treasures. Let’s imagine how our sin brings us to dark places. Yet in those dark places comes a hidden treasure of the ability to respond to forgiveness, and so we love ourselves and others according to that response from God. In the darkness, we find a personal God who does not impute sin as a hidden treasure, fellowshipping in grace, mercy and love. God is hidden in dark places, and He is available there as an invisible person, visible to those who walk by faith. It requires invisible light in dark places. No man has ever seen God, but as He is, so are we. If we are blinded by vision, we will not see this light; If we are walking in the Word by faith, we are living in it and we are light.
Just as the samadaan inside the temple was always the most extraordinary, precious piece of beauty, as it sat in the interior, so can we be in our experience. A saved man can glorify the kingdom of heaven, where he is enshrined. The light of God’s glory is revealed, just as it was there through the beautiful base of Samadan. The light always penetrates through the base itself, highlighting the beauty of the base and lighting up the room. As we illuminate the world, the room we are in. Reflecting Christ’s glory as a mirror. However, even if that lamp was not lit, even if it was hiding in the darkness of the middle, it was that potential of a glorious beauty!
