Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion.
Heavenly Satisfaction
1 Timothy 6:6
- The only satisfaction that is beneficial to us is the satisfaction that comes through devotion. How wrong is the perception of the world, where people live in material or social satisfaction and find that it is always a great benefit to their life. People can be satisfied with many things, but they never experience Bhakti. Finally, as soon as they meet the Lord Jesus, they find that it was a great loss for them.
God wants every Christian to live in contentment. When a person worries and lives in worry, and lives in a state of despair, he threatens the character of God’s plan and challenges the description of God’s purpose. To worry is to blaspheme God in His foreknowledge. Although we may be in unnatural calamities, we can remain like God. While there may be many things that you may have prayed for that have not come to pass, you can live like God with contentment.
Jesus was always satisfied with the Father’s plan. His satisfaction in his father’s provision gave him in his experience the object of his faith. With divine contentment we are content to wait for 13-year-old Isaac. We are satisfied, if Lot has the best land and we are always left in upheaval. We are satisfied if Esau gets the good soil, while we have the eldership of Jacob. We learn to be like God with contentment through Christ. We no longer have to go through the anxiety of losing it, the coldness of confusion, or the outerness of aimlessness. But we live in the satisfaction that comes from the results of being full of devotion.
