It can be too easy
for each generation of Christians to lose sight of our heritage.
One way to stay connected to all those great saints who have gone before us is to read what they wrote, and to learn the ancient creeds that have echoed through generations of the Church.
I’m sure you’ve heard the Apostle’s Creed but I thought I would say it here today as a reminder of what Christians have said together for centuries:
“I believe in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary: Suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead and buried: He descended into hell: The third day he rose again from the dead: He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty: From there he shall come to judge the living and the dead: I believe in the Holy Spirit: I believe in the worldwide church: the communion of saints: The forgiveness of sins: The resurrection of the body: And the life everlasting. Amen.”
Amen! Who do you need to share this great and truthful Good News with today so they can experience life everlasting in Jesus Christ? Think about it and share it.
