Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion!
Is it necessary to call for natural needs?
John 4:34
- When our natural needs are satisfied, are we satisfied, and do we no longer hunger for God? Natural needs did not satisfy Christ. Whether this was fulfilled or not, He always saw the will of the Father. As he walked the shores of Galilee and across the earth, natural necessity never became a factor in his life. He was hungry, thirsty (Matthew 4), felt cold (John 20), tired (Luke 8) and suffered (Matthew 26:29); But that natural inadequacy never removed him from the sufficiency found in being accustomed to the Father’s plan. How often do we exalt God’s plan, when we wait for the fulfillment of a need, which God has not supernaturally ordained to fulfill?
Christ was carried from one situation to another where he was driven by natural needs. Like us, he was tested in every point (Hebrews 4:15). People do not respond to their supernatural encounter with God in faith, which is to grow in being called to a life of discipleship rather than natural.
If anyone rejects the presentation of a perfect victory, he is living in that realm apart from Christ in experience. He errs in accepting on faith the victory of an expressed word. We are satisfied in Christ in the life of His word and not in the desires of our emotional demands. Don’t go fighting the plan because of the natural wages of your needs on demand. Accept the gift of transcending the shackles of necessity in the Book of God-ordained supernaturalism.
