“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” – Jesus (John 10:10, KJV)
Early Life and Family
Niwas Thapa was born in Ward No. 6, Dhakari Rural Municipality, Achham District, Nepal. He grew up in a family of five members – his father, mother, and three siblings. Niwas spent his early childhood in his village, experiencing simple joys and the beauty of rural life. He completed SLC (Grade 10) from his village school.
Later, he moved to Kathmandu, where he pursued theological studies at Mountain Life Bible College, Pepsicola, completing a four-year Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) degree.
Despite his education and family support, Niwas struggled with deep questions about life:

- Who am I?
- Where did I come from?
- Why am I here? What is the purpose of life?
- Why do people face pain, suffering, and death?
- Why does it feel like only I face difficulties?
- Where is God?
These questions led him to deep despair, anxiety, and sometimes thoughts of ending his own life. Material wealth, education, traditions, and religion could not provide him true peace, joy, or purpose. He felt empty and hopeless until he discovered the truth of God’s presence.
Life Transformation and Spiritual Experienc
Niwas always sought the living and true God. One day, while listening to the radio, he heard a program A message of love about Jesus and the Gospel. That day changed his life forever.
Through faith in Jesus, Niwas experienced:
- New Birth – His spirit was revived.
- Freedom – All fear, anxiety, and despair disappeared.
- Forgiveness of sins – All past mistakes and guilt were erased.
- Peace and joy – True, lasting inner happiness filled his heart.
- Hope and eternal life – He gained assurance of life beyond death.
He says:
“I was not created for this world, but for God. My life is fully dedicated to His service.”
Human life only finds true purpose in God. Earthly pleasures and accomplishments can only give temporary satisfaction, but peace, joy, and eternal purpose come through faith in God. Our citizenship is in heaven.
Education and Mission Preparation

Niwas completed his theological studies at Mountain Life Bible College, Kathmandu, graduating with a four-year B.Th. degree. He is also receiving practical ministry training at Mountain Life Trading Center, preparing himself to serve God effectively and efficiently in missions.
Life Philosophy and Purpose
Niwas’ life mission is clear: to preach the Gospel and bring the message of salvation to people.
“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10, KJV)
He bases his life on these Bible verses:
Matthew 11:28 (KJV) “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Jesus invites everyone burdened with worries, fears, and heaviness to come to Him and receive rest. For Niwas, this verse brought freedom from despair and gave him real peace.
Proverbs 24:11 (KJV) “If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;”
God’s plan may not always be immediately clear. Waiting patiently and trusting His timing is crucial. Niwas learned to rely on God’s plan for his life.
Acts 20:24 (KJV) “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.”
Serving God and preaching the Gospel are more important than personal comfort or safety. Niwas committed his life fully to God’s work.
Mark 16:15 (KJV) “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
The mission of spreading the Gospel is not limited to personal devotion—it is meant to reach the entire world. Niwas’ life is dedicated to this mission.
Total Life Dedication – Faith and Love

The most defining moment in Niwas Thapa’s life came when he completely surrendered his life to the Lord. He says:
“I dedicate my entire life – my heart, soul, dreams, and future – to Jesus Christ. My one true purpose is to preach the Gospel and bring the message of salvation to every person.”
Niwas gave his fears, worries, despair, and pain fully to God. He realized that worldly pleasures, knowledge, or social status cannot bring lasting peace. True purpose and meaning are only found in God’s love and service.
True service begins when a person completely dedicates their life to God’s will. Only then can they sincerely share the message of life, hope, and salvation with others.

Life Lessons from Niwas Thapa’s Journey

Niwas Thapa’s life teaches us that the true purpose of life is not found in wealth, education, power, or fame, but in a living relationship with God, through faith in Jesus Christ. The very first and greatest need of every human life is salvation. Without salvation, no matter what else we achieve, life remains empty.
Below are the five profound lessons we can learn from his journey of faith:
1. Life Without God is Empty
Niwas says:
“If you gain everything in the world but do not have a relationship with God, your life is empty and meaningless. True peace, joy, and satisfaction come only from Him.”
Bible Verse:
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36)
Success, money, education, and power cannot satisfy the deep hunger of the soul. Only God can fill that void with His presence. Every human being’s first and deepest need is salvation through Christ, because only salvation gives eternal meaning.
2. Forgiveness of Sin and Salvation is Found Only in Jesus
Niwas testifies that no human effort, religion, or philosophy can save us from sin and death. Only through Jesus Christ can we find forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life. The greatest need and requirement of every person is to be free from meaning.
Bible Verses:
- “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21)
- “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
- “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
- “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
Every person must face the reality of sin. But God provided a way of salvation by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross and rose again. Salvation is not optional—it is the greatest necessity of human life.
3. Life Must Be Lived According to God’s Purpose
True peace and joy are found when we live according to God’s will.
God’s purposes for mankind are:
- To glorify God
- “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
- To worship Him in truth
- “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24)
- To fellowship with Him daily – experiencing His presence in our hearts.
- To obey His commands – walking according to His Word.
A life without God’s purpose is wasted. But a life surrendered to Him bears fruit for eternity.
4. Awareness of Life’s Shortness and Eternity
Niwas reminds us that life is temporary, but eternity is forever.
Bible Verse:
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27)
Reflection: Friend, ask yourself: Who am I? Where did I come from? Why am I here? Where will I go after death?
Our decisions today determine our eternal destiny. Missing Jesus is the greatest tragedy; finding Him is the greatest victory.
5. Love, Dedication, and the Power of the Gospel
Niwas’ life demonstrates that true transformation comes only through God’s love and the power of the Gospel.
- Dedicate your life fully into God’s hands.
- Share the Gospel with the unreached.
- Help believers grow spiritually.
- Lead unbelievers to experience salvation.
Bible Verse:
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.” (Romans 1:16)
The Gospel is the power that changes hearts, heals wounds, and gives eternal life.
Friend, the most important question is: Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Do not delay. Today is the day of salvation.
“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2)
Accept Him today. Believe in Him. Repent of your sins. Receive eternal life.
Q1: What is the greatest need of every human life? A1: The greatest need is salvation through Jesus Christ, for only He gives forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
Q2: Why is salvation important? A2: Without salvation, life is meaningless, and eternity is lost. With salvation, we gain forgiveness, peace, and eternal life with God.
Q3: How can someone receive salvation? A3: By repenting of sins, believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and trusting His sacrifice on the cross.
Q4: What is the main purpose of Niwas Thapa’s ministry? A4: To bring the Gospel to the unreached, help believers grow spiritually, and glorify God in all things.
May the love of Jesus Christ touch your heart today. May you experience forgiveness, salvation, freedom, and eternal life. May the peace of God fill your soul and guide your future.
