Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion!
The most difficult thing to be
sovereign
Isaiah 45:9, Romans 9:20
is to destroy the old foundations and let God establish His foundation. People are growing up in their own world. They are spending more time on the tree of knowledge. They have lived long according to naturalistic evaluations and logical conclusions. Only then do they come into contact with God’s sovereignty, which works to reveal God’s plan for every person. His plan may be different for everyone. And he does not reveal the reasons why he acts in a certain way. Why we, who are only mud, and do not have the ability to give structure to ourselves? Why is it necessary to question the potter’s perfect ability? Peter wanted his family to leave without saying anything, (Matthew 4:20). Another person may wish not to return home for the funeral, although this is unusual (Luke 9:59-60). The rich man may want to save everything he has so that he can be saved, while we are all saved by grace (Mark 10:21).
People have many difficulties with each other, because they misunderstand God’s definite plan for a family, for a man, for a woman, for a church. People live in such a world which is naturally rooted in them. They have never been taught sovereign grace, unconditional love, and the faith that works out of love through Adam’s death and God’s life. We discover Christ through the riches of faith, when we take our eyes off our own plans and live in the sovereign realm of heaven.
