Weakness in Victory
Matthew 23:3-4
- Christ promises. Does a person become familiar with that word or does he fail to be familiar with it by himself? He may accept the word of God in his heart, but he may not have the strength of will to act in obedience. In the mind that person may be known, but in the will he lives in Adam. He may have given mental space to God’s Word but God’s will may not allow him to win within.
Accepting only with your mouth may not mean victory, but accepting from your will is definitely liberation. People say, but they don’t do anything. They run here and there with the Christian banner, but they are such a people that they have never been saved in their own will. They will never experience crucifixion. They cannot say, “Not my will, but yours be done.” They do not know God’s will as a living experience, because they have done God’s will with a devoted
heart And to experience the introduction of Christ is to follow Christ completely. We live in the will of God, which is his introduction. 5)
