Christ is not in another city
Romans 1:17
- There is no more without light. In our own knowledge, without doing any external work, we are in the stale things which work is done by God. In the midst of circumstances we add faith and God multiplies grace and peace with the results of being in Christ.
Many people want to move to another city, because they cannot win Christ, where God has called them to live in sovereignty. You find Christ where you are and not in another city. We do not go into the lion’s den in despair. We do not say, “Lord,” take us out of the fiery furnace. We believe and trust in God, and when the fire is made sevenfold hotter, we know that God is controlling it and not the fiery furnace. We need not worry about the unstoppable judgment of prison death, but in the circumstances of that judgment we rest in eternal life.
God places us in situations and works grace, love and patience in our hearts. We let circumstances act, which we do as a broken earthen vessel through our counsel with the Holy Spirit, and the treasure is now manifesting. In situation after situation, God’s nature is revealed, God’s power is expressed, and the conversation of others is produced by what we reveal. God does this all through our circumstances, so that others can experience our God and experience His gracious nature toward them. The average believer lets God work in it, and then it ceases to be a scripture, a hope, or a reality, but less of a life experience. Without the addition of faith, we are left without the garment of light—the garment that is Christ.
