Sojourners in the Land
Hebrews 11:8-10
- God calls us to be sojourners in the land of His promise. We are constantly called to go to the land, even though we don’t know where we are going. The challenge for believers is to live as a foreigner continuously.
Every step we take must fall on the soil where we have never stepped before. Joshua was promised that wherever he set his foot, that land would be his. Believers often bury themselves in the same soil day after day, never expanding their horizons, burying the soil until it becomes dry, barren, and barren. It may be known as soil, but it is only one piece of the whole earth that God has given us.
Today, more than ever, we need to live as foreigners, to cultivate the word of God in areas that have never been explored before.
Abraham chose to live in tents for this reason; A tent has no foundation. They wanted to stay on the road until God revealed that city. Our city is the corporate body of Christ, and until we discover it, we cannot remain so.
As we journey into the land of our successors, let us explore every region and claim it as our own. Let us not be satisfied with the portion that falls to us, but let us press forward to the wonder of faith. We must enter the land where we are foreigners. This is how new parts are claimed. Columbus could not have claimed it if he had not stood up to America. Believers cannot claim the promises until they stand by faith as aliens in the land. - Today’s reading passage is Genesis 43-46
