: – The Calling and Handover of Prophets – Events that happened and will happen during the ministry of the prophets – Where do they stand in the chronological history of the Old Testament ? – The practicality of the books of the prophets for today – You will know the true spirit of prophecy.. ❖ Things you will learn : – Difficult names – Timelines and dates – Pictures of Israel (:b) What is a prophet? ➢ A prophet is a person who speaks from God! “ Thus saith the Lord ” ( “ Thus saith the Lord ” ) is the one who – Hebrews 12:5-11 tells us that God rebukes and chastises those he loves . Deuteronomy 13,18,28 tells us why God raised up prophets ! Practical Context The Universal Witness of Kings David and Solomon God’s people in the time of repentance. Historical Background of the Prophets : The Prophets were a people of God. Genesis 1 – Genesis 11 – The History of All Humanity (2000 Year Period) Genesis 12 – Abraham Comes into the Picture – New History Begins, God Focuses on One Man, Abraham, Leaving All Other Nations and Cities Behind . Abraham. From Whom He Creates a Chosen People, on Whom Biblical History Focuses. – Abraham– Moses – Deuteronomy 18:15-22 – Joshua reads Deuteronomy 28, Deuteronomy 20:16-18 – A clear/very clear command.. The purpose of Israel as a nation or chosen people: 1. Witness: To reveal the one true God – to the pagan nations and the Gentiles in the fullness of time! 2. To reveal/show the blessings of worshiping the true God! 3. To receive, preserve and transmit the Scriptures – through them to mankind! 4. To build a human line for the Messiah! Upon reaching the Promised Land – completely destroy these nations, it was said, with a clear explanation from God…. ▪ You must completely destroy them – or you will be affected by them. This is the one true God. ச்காஜல் ன்னவானள்ளியான கள்ளியான கள்ளியான கள்ள Glory and blessing: But you have corrupted yourselves . – Judges 1:12-14,16 Even so ➢ You have forsaken me. ➢ You have worshipped false gods and idols. ➢ My anger is kindled against you. – Despite all this…. The Lord raised up judges , and delivered them from the hand of their enemies. This is the cycle that continues throughout the time of the judges.. Samuel – The prophet after Moses – He establishes the school of prophets in Ramah, (1 Samuel 19: 18-20) (2 Kings 2:5). It was a school for men and women, who taught the Scriptures daily, worked for their food, fellowshipped in prayer, meditated on the work of God, wrote sacred music and poems, to worship the living God! – The Israelites demand a king, we Samuel, you lead usWe do not want to do this; we want a king like other nations, (They have not rejected you, Samuel, they have rejected me). – David – Solomon 1 Kings 11:1-5, Solomon turned away from God and worshipped idols. After the kingdom was divided.. – Jeroboam: Solomon’s engineer/manager, fled from Solomon’s wrath and lived in Egypt. When Solomon’s son Rehoboam got the kingdom..he comes into the picture,..because he wanted to be king. Northern: Far from God, all the wicked kings, Samaria was only an idolater, in the city of Bethel they proudly made a calf and worshiped it! Imi tbhktabmbhalat echyaujbhatsha dyayap dyath ek. Jeroboam begins idolatry in these two places by building high places, shrines , and making lowly priests so that the people will not come to Jerusalem to worship God. – This is Jeroboam 2, where idolatry is officially introduced into Israel . – Remember, Samaritan woman, hundreds of years later our ancestors taught us to worship on this mountain , and you Jews worship in Jerusalem . – Why? – After a wicked king started this approved place of worship, for the nation, he was referring to the same place, on the mountains (our ancestors – he was a Samaritan – a Jew) (since he was a Jew) that he worshipped in the name of God . The southern half of the kingdom of Judah, with Jerusalem as its capital and Solomon’s temple still standing, still has some good kings and true worship. – Rehoboam: He made a bad decision, “If you are gentle with the people , they will be good, if you are harsh… they will rebel, and that is what he did, and the people rebelled . – Jeroboam took advantage of this…. – Now the worship of gods began not only in the north but also in the south. – For this reason – God raised up prophets, and the message of all the prophets was simple and clear: – Who are you/what kind of people are you/what should you be/and if you continue in the things you are doing, you will be taken into captivity! Therefore return to me (yes God knows, what you have done, you have broken my covenant, God is very angry with this, yet God is merciful; return to me! Covenant/Covenant: – Everything the prophets said is based on this: There are covenants; 1. The covenant with Abraham – Genesis 12,15,17) – Sons (great nations) countless – The Lord – to him and his nations Ashish
– Through him the whole world is blessed – Thmessage of Christ is the only one who is faithful to God . 2. The covenant with Moses – Deuteronomy 28-30 3. The covenant with David – (2 Samuel 7:8-21) – I will establish your dynasty. – Your throne will be established forever. 931 The kingdom was established…. From the line of Jeroboam From the line of Rehoboam – 19 kings – This is the line of David.. Line – (Psalm 31) Balaam, – The line of David will not be abandoned, the line continued The kings are from the same line. Suddenly , prophets rose up from here on the throne continuously – A prophet was also called a seer, because he saw God in his heart by faith; Just as God is real in His holy attributes and character, and He saw Himself and all other people as God saw them, the prophet saw the situation from God’s perspective. The prophet received God’s word for His people. – There are oral preachers of God,..who preached for God but did not write books or articles. This is the one who preached for God. – Elijah and Elisha – Miracles and prophetic ministry in backslidden Israel ( 1 Kings 17-2 Kings 9) – Nathan and Gad – To David and Solomon.. – Ahijah the Shilonite – During the reign of Jeroboam and Rehoboam.. Who prophesied the division of the kingdom – 931 BC – 1 Kings 11:29 – Jehoiada, Shemaiah, Azariah, Hanani (2 Chronicles 16:9 King Asa).. – Hananiah, Huldah the prophetess, God’s people in 1 Kings 13 and the old prophet at Bethel ❖ Why is the prophetic program no longer given to the church in the New Testament? – Obadiah – Obadiah – The Bible canon is complete. (Introduction) to the book of Obadiah 1. Obadiah is the shortest book in the Old Testament 2. We know nothing about the author except his name.. which means – “servant of the Lord.” 3. Obadiah has a single theme, which emphasizes the destruction of Edom .. because of its treachery towards Judah… ( Edom = Esau – Genesis 25:30 and Genesis 36:8) – Esau chose the flesh and his belly over God’s plan.

King Jehoram became afraid and killed his brothers to seize the throne and led God’s people into terrible sin and idolatry . God struck him with an incurable disease in his stomach and intestines , his intestines came out and he died, and God allowed the Philistines and the Ethiopians to attack Judah, and God’s people were plagued with trouble! Because we find the book moving around two mountains : – Mount Zion: which represents God’s people. – Mount Seir: which represents the Edomites. The main thrust of Obadiah’s message is – God’s people have a glorious future, while those who are enemies of God’s kingdom are destined for eternal destruction! Explanation according to the Lydda Igatsliv: 1. Obadiah’s Claim (1a) Obadiah begins his short book by revealing the source of his message: – First, he refers to his book as a vision – Second, he uses the formula of the ancient messenger, “The Lord Jehovah
rtyyu
It says “to show that it is a divine revelation” – Jehovah – God as the Creator, the absolute authority. Jehovah – 9bamayalbath0 – Yahweh – God’s covenant relationship with Israel! 2. A declaration against Edom: (1a – 2) – The message from God to Obadiah was directly to Edom: Yahweh: is not a local god, who exercises his divinity only in the land of Palestine, he is the Lord of the whole earth . emi tbhaktabmbhalat echyaujbhatsha dyayap dyath ek. chykazabal ddandddha ebanab gnyadh – “We have heard a message from the Lord : – plural – Obadiah and other prophets – the people who read or hear the message with Obadiah – an ambassador sent among the nations: there must be some angelic being, (as in 1 Kings 22:19–38; Deuteronomy 10:10-21) This ambassador’s job is to persuade the nations to join with Yahweh in attacking Edom ! Verse 2 – The result has come – In Hebrew this is written in the perfect tense – which denotes a completed action. The result of the attack was so certain that it was spoken of as already accomplished. God saw that Edom had been humbled! 3. Edom’s Pride Humiliated – (Ob 3-9) Like all the Gentiles, the Edomites were so puffed up with pride that they paid no attention to divine warnings. They were deceived into a false sense of security because of the pride of their hearts. Four sources of the Edomite pride are identified: a. The pride of the land (verses 3-4) was so great that they thought no foreign power could conquer them. The high mountains, at an unfathomable height, surrounded their city: the countless caves – both natural and man-made – provided amazing protection from attack and for launching surprise attacks on enemies. This was a great opportunity for the enemy to gain a foothold in the land. The pride of the land was therefore a question of pride… Who will bring me down to the ground? (verse 3b) Yahweh has the answer for them… From there I will bring you down to the ground – verse 4) b. The pride of wealth (verses 5-6) Edom controlled the great trade route called the King’s Highway, which connected to Damascus. The copper and iron mines in the region also provided a source of wealth…. all the treasures hidden in their mountain fortresses will be plundered, – thieves and robbers will be able to steal until they have had enough….indeed, Jehovah’s agents will strip Edom of all its hidden treasures . c. Pride of Kinship (verse 7) Edom felt secure in her various commercial and military connections.

In the ancient world, the Edomites were known for their wisdom. Their wise men will be filled with folly. No advice will be of any use. (verse 3: The pride of your heart has deceived you )
4. Expansion of Edom’s judgment (verses 10-14) “Because of the violence done to your brother..shame will cover you” – Breaking the brother’s covenant (Jamlyah brother) (blood relationship/covenant) Violence done to your own brother: 1. The Israelites refused to let them pass through the land as they were traveling to Canaan (Numbers 20:14-21:4,18,20-21). The Israelites refused to let them pass through the land (Numbers 20:14-21:4,18,20-21). The Israelites refused to let them pass through the land (Numbers 20:14-21:4,18,20-21). Evil intentions (verse 12) Obadiah was an eyewitness to the crimes of the Edomites. 4 times the word ‘day’ is used: ” The calamities that God’s people experienced: 1. The day of your brother 2. The day of his exile 3. The day of the Jews’ destruction 4. The day of their distress To look on in this state, to exult and to speak proudly (this should not have happened!) One. The one who has a big mouth (the one who has a big mouth) D. Cruel exploitation (vv. 13-14) – Not only that.. became a partner in the plundering of the city – the Edomites were standing at the crossroads, ready to kill those who escaped from the city . (Who would do such a thing..being a brother) 5. A prophecy about the nations – vv. 15-16) Obadiah now makes a statement about the land on which his message against Edom was based. – “The day of the Lord is near.” – The day of the Lord is first mentioned in the Old Testament as a day of judgment on the Lord’s enemies and a day of exaltation for the pious people who worship Him . – The voice of that judgment will be: “As you have done, so it will be done to you” Obadiah tells Edom, – “Your reward will return upon your own head” (verse 16) Because all the nations have drunk ( drunk, drunken until they are drunk) on the holy mountain of God – profaning the holy place – Edom too – On the day of the Lord all the nations will be forced to drink the wine of the wrath of God, the nations will drink it, and “they will be as though they had never been.” Imi tbhkatvmbhlat ihyaujbhatsha dyayyap dyath ek. chykazbal dnddddh abenav gndh – they will be completely destroyed! – Along with Edom, will be included all who behave in a similar way.. who stand far from helping God’s people, who persecute and mock the church. Obadiah paints a beautiful picture of the nature of God’s kingdom on earth. He presents the ultimate conqueror of God’s kingdom over the entire earth : A. The picture of the kingdom (vv. 17-21) Five sentences will illustrate that the nature of the kingdom will be so victorious : 1. The kingdom will be a place of security: The place that the Edomites despised and profaned will become the throne of Yahweh (Joel 3:17) and his kingdom will be. Mount Zion is the spiritual Jerusalem (symbolically) (Joel 2:25-Hebrews 12:22-25) ( Revelation 21-22) 2. Mount Zion will be a holy place: Those who are separated from the world – those who have come out of the world will be saved on Mount Zion, and will become holy people , ..(verse 17b) 3. The prophecies about Edom are fulfilled : (It will be destroyed forever): 1. Edom was conquered by Amaziah, king of Judah (2 Kings 14:7) (2 Chronicles 25:11) 2. Around 312 BC, the Arabs occupied Petra, the Edomite capital , and the Edomites were defeated . The Edomites fled to southern Palestine and were subdued by the Jewish leader John Harkanus during the Maccabean period (134–104 BC) ! 4. They were destroyed along with the Jews in 70 BC when they joined forces to revolt against the Roman Empire ! 5. Other verses that tell of the destruction of Edom – (Isaiah 34: 5-15; Ezekiel 25:12-14; 35:1-15; Amos 1:11-12) God heard their joy in wickedness and said: “Now is your turn.” Remember, what do you say when someone else is being judged? Today, after 2000 years of being scattered as refugees around the world , Israel stands as a nation again..but Edom does not exist..their people and nations are gone! – God never abandoned Israel, but for the Edomites it was too much. We have given the date of the 830th year of the Babylonian captivity – some say it was after the Jews returned from Babylonian captivity.. also during the restoration.. 531 BC . Since no king is named… strong emphasis is given.. after the captivity but in the order of placing the minor prophets – second in Hebrew and fourth in Septuagint – this means that the Jewish scribes placed the ministry of these prophets before rather than after – so for the purpose of the study we have taken the date 835–796 BC! Main Subject: “The Day of the Lord” ❖ The Northerners use the term ‘day’: 1. 12 hours (daytime) 2. 24 hours (1 day) 3. The period of time called ‘day’ (the day of my youth does not mean 1 day, but that period of time is also the day of the Lord: (looking at it in 3 ways)
1. The bad part – the day of judgment (Job 1-2) 2. The good part – the 1000 year reign (blessings and prosperity) 3. The new heaven and new earth – is this also included in the ‘day of the Lord’? ( 2 Peter 3:10-13) Message: Simple yet profound Joel clearly and effectively pleads for genuine repentance regarding the end-time events he is considering. He is also called the prophet of Pentecost, the prophet of hope, and the prophet of the Spirit . The prophecy of the ‘day of the Lord’ is a major part of Joel’s prophecy. The outline Joel gave of this event is expanded upon by later prophets . We can find these 8 elements as part of the picture that this book paints ! 1. Signs and wonders in the heavens 2. The day of the Lord is a final day, as well as a historical one 3. The great judgment is associated with that day 4. The final defeat and punishment of God’s enemies 5. At the same time, he uses the plague as an example of the evil judgment that is to come: 1. Joel 1:2-13 A plague to mourn – (see next) a. Call to leaders (1:2–4)
Not only the chosen ones, but the entire community, including the leaders, is called to listen: Joel wants to convince his audience that the disaster that is now happening in Judah has never happened before – (verse 4) describes that devastating destruction: – Israel was now being attacked by a fourfold explosion… 1. The cutting locust 2. The swarming locust 3. The baby locust 4. The desolate locust The locusts came in four waves… and whatever was left, the next wave ate! Calling on the drunkards (vv. 1:5-7) – What is happening around, – Those who care little – Those who live drunk – Mourn also! – There is no more wine to get drunk on/The vine is desolate/The vineyard is destroyed – You will no longer be able to use wine as a tool to neglect . – The Lord says – My land/My vine/My fig tree – That is, the Lord himself was involved in the suffering of his people . He is the owner of the land, the Israelites are like the tenants. He loves the land, which is in great distress! c. Call to the priests (verse 13) – You priests, also, put off your ministry garments and put on sackcloth !
– The daily sacrifices have been stopped. The grain offerings and the burnt offerings – the ministry of the priests and altar servants is no more! Therefore mourn the application of sackcloth – he who lost everything – he puts it on ( People have lost many things in life, – put on sackcloth – return to God) 2. (verse 14 – gives the meaning) – Declare a general assembly “fast, gather, pray earnestly!” – All the inhabitants were to “call upon the Lord Jehovah”! – Ask for forgiveness, may there not be a greater calamity! b. Explanation (vv. 15–18) The day of the Lord = All those who are living contrary to God’s will, that day will come in a destructive way. As terrible as the plague of locusts was… even more terrible than that, the destruction of the Almighty is complete destruction. Just as Obadiah said that the day of the Lord would affect the Edomites, so Joel here says that Judah will also feel the judgment on that day! c. Example (vv. 19–20) – Joel prayed.. gave an example… so he does in verses 16–20: ខ . Lack of food/no food ខ. No sacrifice in the house of the Lord ខ. No seed or grain ខា The crops are destroyed . There is no pasture for the animals . The rivers are dried up. That is why we cry out – O Jehovah! Why? – So our context was? Deuteronomy 28 – The Mosaic Covenant So if we are Jews and we know the Mosaic Covenant, and if we disobey it , what are the consequences? – Curses come! – What kind? A Description of the Enemy (2:2a-11) A terrible plague of locusts is coming. – On the Day of the Lord, the Israelites will have a glorious victory over all their enemies . …(Amos 5:18) – But here God says – The day of the Lord is a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness – for those who are unfaithful to Israel and Judah – like the plague of locusts – Zion will be trampled by a great and powerful nation on the day of the Lord! It has never happened before…. It will never happen again! – If the recent plague was unusual, the coming plague will be extraordinary ! – Description of the enemy…. Imi tbhktavmbhlat echyaujbhatsha dyayyap dyath ek. chykazbal dnddddh abnav ghagh – There is no possibility of escaping judgment Verse 3 – If Israel could not withstand the small army of locusts that was just sent ….how can they withstand the armies like the horses of Yahweh? – Verse 11 Who can stand this? Joel 1:6 Description: Revelation 9:7-10 Description The locust army is coming , so the army of men is coming, leaving nothing behind …they will destroy like the locusts : ❖ What is the day of the Lord? ÷What time is it talking about? Picture it – the army has come to Israel many times, but we don’t see it happening in that way! But during the great tribulation – it is the day of the Lord, the terrible day of judgment, the day of God’s wrath, God’s vengeance, the day of Jacob’s trouble – it will affect the whole world, but Israel will be the target. So this is the battle of Armageddon – the Antichrist will lead the way at the end of the great tribulation (Revelation 16:13-16÷19:11) Imi tbhaktavmbhalat echyaujbhatsha dyayyap dyath ek. The valley of Megiddo is a good valley. This is the ‘day of the Lord’ that Joel is talking about. – In this war, blood will reach the horses’ noses. It will be very destructive. On the day of the Lord, one scholar said, there are 7.5 million people now, maybe more then, but 100,000 people will endure, refuse. – Millions of people will die on the day of the Lord, so the blood that will be shed after Armageddon will reach Jerusalem.
Jesus Comes to Jerusalem – Purification – 1000 Year Reign Begins Peace and Prosperity 2 As terrifying as the locust plague was from chapter 12 , this was not the last day, the day of the Lord, the final judgment. – If this plague leads you to repent, the devastating consequences of that coming plague will make all Israelites realize the need for repentance! 2. Time to Repent – Vision of Repentance (Joel 2:12-17) A. P(2:12-13a) = Nature of Repentance Thus you should repent…÷Yahweh Himself is calling. That true repentance will serve to appease His holy wrath . Imi tbhktavmbhlat echyaujbhatsha dyayyap dyath ek. chykazbal dnddddh abnabh ghach vark – “to return to the point where one had strayed.” Biblical Repentance – Not Saying Forgiveness, Not Just Forgiveness for Sin = Total Forgiveness of Sin is Surrendering Your Whole Life and Heart to God. It is not Pruning the Tree of Sin, but Cutting It Down Completely. – Returning: With All Your Heart – Do Not Replace Inner Sincerity with Outward Manifestations. – Fasting, Weeping, Wailing, Rending of Clothes May Be Outward Manifestations, But Rending of the Heart Rather than Rending of Clothes! (Rending of the Heart is True Repentance)! – Therefore, the call to repentance does not say Repent for this sin , Of course, the plague of locusts that Joel saw is the punishment/result of breaking the covenant . So, search your own hearts for what you have failed in. b. Temptation to Repent (2:13a-14) Why? For to know the character of your God – (Exodus 34:6) Mercy – By withholding punishment that is justly due, do you know that He will give grace, (what you do not deserve – that is what you deserve.) – Joel does not guarantee, but by looking at the past records we can tell what His character is like? True repentance can bring us back to Him. C. Account of repentance (2:15-17) Who? Imi tbhktavmbhlat ihyuujbhatsha dyayyap dyath ek. Chykazabal dnddddh abnab ghat – Blow the trumpet – Call a fast – Declare a general assembly – People – Old men – Children – Suckling babies – Newlyweds – Priests The entire population must participate. 3. Time of healing/time of healing – Vision of restoration (Joel 2:18-29) a. (2:18-22) – The disaster was removed b. (2:23-27) – The coming teacher – (The Messiah will be that teacher) Verse 25 I will fill that gap “says the Lord” Verse 26 The locusts had eaten the land – Now you will eat and be satisfied.
Can God restore 10 wasted years in 1 month ? Yes, of course, in 10 minutes. Can’t he? ❖ Joel 2:28-3:21 – The Day of the Spirit 1. Restoration – Vision of Blessing (Joel 2:28-29) A. 2:28-29 = The Spirit to be poured out – ‘The Spirit to be poured out’ – Gifts in abundance – Peter takes this passage for the time of Pentecost . இமீ துக்கத்தவம் எயுஜவத்தா This was done at Pentecost plus it also applies in the last days – the 7 year tribulation – the 144,000 Jews with the Jewish witnesses – so here it is fulfilled (Acts 2) Picture Joel prophesying this. च्यकजबल द्याउनाड 2 . Salvation – that is, the vision of deliverance: (Joel 2:30-32) Verse 30 – Signs (Heavenly Signs – Matthew 24:21-30 (These are the signs before the second coming of Jesus) Verses 31-32 – This is also true in the last days; it is also true in the church age, because the church was a mystery. ( Even the Old Testament prophets did not know) Romans 10:13 – For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved! Romans 10:9-10 – Confession with the mouth and faith in the heart! 3. Vision of Judgment (Joel 3:1-15) 3:1-3 – Enemies of prophecy 3:4-8 – Enemies of the present 3:9-11 – Calling out to all enemies 3:12-15 – All enemies destroyed Joel 3:2,12 is like the judgment of the sheep and the goats. – Matthew 25:31-46) Judgment of the Gate of Jehoshaphat – This is the judgment after the second coming of Jesus Christ – Before the great tribulation – Who will save the Israelites? (Who helped God’s people? Who didn’t?) Verses 13,14 Where am I? Decisions must be made. 4. The final vision (Joel 3:16-21) A. The strength of Zion (3:16) B. The Book of Jonah ❖ The Book of Jonah is a book unlike any other. It seems that the Book of Jonah reveals God’s universal love more than any other book ! ❖ Who wrote the Book of Jonah? – Jonah’s wife? Or Jonah, or we don’t know. Certainly the Holy Spirit ❖ Jonah = meaning (dove). ❖ Man – Jonah – Son of Amittai – Jonah was a very famous prophet of his time. His name was Jonah . He was a prophet of the Lord. He spoke for Jeroboam II, King of Israel , and it was fulfilled (2 Kings 14:25) – Name mentioned ? – So Jonah lived during the time of King Jeroboam II of Israel. – The date of the book of Jonah – Jonah’s journey to Nineveh is around 780-755 BC! – Some call Jonah “the prophet of God’s mercy”/“the first international missionary”! – Jonah portrays a prophet of God, but a worldly man. – Jonah is described as having a (self-directed) (self-centered) character . – Administrative character: (openness) (honesty) – However, ‘hypocrisy’ was not in him – He was like a nationalist, narrow-minded, completely indifferent to the spiritual situation outside of Israel (no concern) ❖ Mission: Jonah had a calling: but rebelled against it. – The mission of the book of Jonah – Saving the city of Nineveh – Jonah (teaching the prophet God’s mercy and compassion and grace) plus us – Jonah did not want those Gentiles to escape God’s wrath : இமீ துக்கத்தவம் எயுஜ்ஞான் எயுய்தான் என்றி
3. ……. ? ❖ Message: Jonah is different from other prophetic books – where the other books are full of warnings and prophecies about Israel and other nations – in the book of Jonah – there is a prophecy – a declaration – a message – “That too in a 5-word head (6 words in Nepali) – the book focuses more on the messenger than the message, God is teaching the messenger something here! ❖ Main theme: “God’s care for the lost” Structure of the book of Jonah
The salvation of the prophet – Disobedience (1:1–3) – Discipline (1:4–16) – Deliverance (1:17) – Declaration (2:1–9) – Deliverance (2:10)

Jonah 1:1-3 – Jonah’s Disobedience In the Old Testament, no prophet was to go and preach to a Gentile nation. – Nineveh; was a foreign city. The Lord says – Nineveh – called “the great city” in terms of population – was once the center of the Assyrian empire. – Nineveh = “wicked city” – second only to Sodom and Gomorrah – was steeped in wickedness – Assyrian idolatry and pride (Isaiah 10: 5-19, 36:18-20) – brutal oppression (2 Kings 15:29, 17:6, Isaiah 36:16, 17) – inhuman wars – so we find Jonah called to be the first foreign missionary. – But Jonah’s response: verse 3 – disobedient to the mission – fled to Tarshish, which was southern Spain . ❖Who is Jonah running from : – From the presence of God – From Israel – From Nineveh to Spain How is this flight going for you, Jonah? “Big fish” – what fish? And the sea creature – this is grace – to save him from the sea destruction
❖ Did Jonah survive in the belly of the fish for 3 days and 3 nights?
❖ Did Jonah die and God raise him from the dead? ❖ Have you heard the story of a man who was swallowed by a fish and came out alive? I have heard/read it in the survey notes in the Old Testament and it is also in the English notes – He survived for 2 days in the belly of the fish….. 3 days and 3 nights – Matthew 12:40 4. Jonah’s Prayer 2:1-5 Then Jonah prayed. – From the belly of the fish – his prayer room became . In Chapter 1 Jonah ran from God In Chapter 2 Jonah ran to God through prayer! Verse 1 Prayer 2 Possibility but both are very miraculous ! Imi tbhktabmbhalat ehyaujbhatsha dyayyap dyath one. The answer to the previous prayer is found in verse 2 – he cried out for help and God helped him. Why? Verse 3 – because he was thrown into the sea . Verses 5-7 – The waters surrounded him to the point of death – He reached the mountains to the very top – God rescued Jonah from the mouth of death by means of the great fish – the verse is printed and he remembered the Lord . Verse 8 – His own life is a testimony – he did the same . Verse 9 Jonah needed salvation, and the people of Nineveh also need salvation from God! 5. Chapter 2:10 – Jonah’s deliverance: The fish acted as an agent to swallow up the dry land and bring the Magbe back to Nineveh and return on their journey. Outline of the book of Amos : A. Thunder of judgment (1:2–2:16) 1. Thunder of warning – Amos 1:2 2. Thunder against the Gentile nations – Amos 1:3–5:3 3. Thunder against Judah – Amos 2:4–5 4. Thunder against Israel – Amos 2:6–16 A. Acts of Judgment (Chapters 3–6) 1. First Message (Chapter 3) 2. Second Message (Chapter 4) 3. Third Message (5:1–17) The Book of Amos 1: 1 The name Amos means “bearer of the rod” and is also called the prophet of Saul. Amos was from Tekoa , a hill country in Judah , about ten miles south of Jerusalem . The 3 visions of the call of Amos are the following . Chyakjabal ddandadddh ebanav ddh imi tvhaktabmbhlat ahyaujbhatsha dyayap dyath one. Amos’ occupation = shepherd (not Roeh, but the word ‘Noqved’ is used – meaning ‘sheep herders’). His place in the Old Testament is only mentioned in 2 Kings 3:4, where Mesha, king of Moab , raised a large number of sheep and provided the king of Israel with 100,000 sheep and wool. That means – Amos managed a large flock of sheep, like a boss over other shepherds! According to his description in Amos 7:14: He was not a disciple of the prophets, did not go to the school of the prophets, but he calls himself a “gatherer of sheep” – ÷ This indicates that he was a shepherd and a hunter! – Although not wealthy, he was a prominent and respected person in his community! According to 7:15, the Lord took him from following the flock and said, “Go, prophesy to my people Israel!” He calls! – Amos The northern part (Israel) was called/sent to preach , who were from Judah (the south)! Date/Time of Amos’ Ministry: The time of King Uzziah of Judah and King Jeroboam II of Israel/plus 2 years before the earthquake – Zechariah 14:5 According to the Jewish historian Josephus, the earthquake occurred in (750 BC) . So we arrive – 750 BC is the year of the first recorded earthquake . We do not get much further than 754-752 BC ! Amos and Hosea ministered at the same time: The context at this time: The northern kingdom (Israel) was at the peak of its power, because the powerful King Jeroboam II, a military leader, had expanded the borders of the Aramaean territory and brought back the land of Israel ( the area across the Jordan) plus on an economic level, Israel was running on the wave of prosperity. (The nation was becoming wealthy)
But morally, spiritually the nation was impoverished! – Because of the trade routes Israel had invited , wealth began to accumulate in Israelite cities, and an upper class emerged (4:1–3). Expensive houses were built (3:15,511,6:4,11). The rich began to enjoy a luxurious lifestyle (6:1–6), while the poor – became targets of legal and economic exploitation (2:6,5:7,6:12,8:4–6). People were enslaved to pay off debts . The poor began to be sold as slaves. – Meanwhile, people began to feel safe from justice by doing religious works, offering sacrifices, saying, “God is pleased with us!” ➢ Oppression of the poor ➢ Justice ➢ Iniquity/Unrighteousness That is why the prophet Amos speaks on this subject : Imi tbhkatvmbhalat ihyuujbhatsha dyayyap dyath ek. The Message of Amos (through preaching, poetry, visions) ❖God’s message to Amos: Although primarily about judgment , it ends with a word of hope. Structure of the Book of Amos Chapters 1–7 Chapters 8–9 Ministry in Israel Ministry in Judah 754–752 BC 752–750 BC Israel over the nations Fourth vision Fifth vision Accusation against justice/justice Plus message Plus message Chapters 1–2 Chapters 3–6 Chapter 8 Chapter 9 3 visions that illustrate Amos ’ calling 7:1–8 Amos’ exile from Israel 7:9–17 The one who is called to serve God. The Message of Amos Chapter 1:2 – Zion is the name of Jerusalem. It is the high ground or mountain of Jerusalem . Jerusalem was abandoned by the northern kingdom of Israel after the division of the kingdom, as a place of worship: “The Lord roars like a lion” – Just as the fearsome roar of a lion immobilizes its prey before it can pounce, so the Lord’s thunder was deafening and deafening. (This indicates judgment ) Now before prophesying about Israel, Amos speaks about the surrounding nations: Chapters 1:3–2:3) ❖ Against the six Gentile nations: Then Judah and Israel – Damascus, Philistia, Tyre, Edom, Ammon, Moab Where are they on the map: – ❖ The guilt of each nation is shown : ❖ The punishment for each is announced ❖ Verses 3, 6, 9 Therefore, “for three or four transgressions ” is called : አማርስም

(Read for yourself) Chapters 2:4 to….. 8 After the other 6 Gentile nations, God’s attention is now on His own people: Jude verse 4 – They despised/ did not keep the written law/the Mosaic covenant or law: while the Gentile nations had sinned against the natural law! The Fire – which will consume the palaces of Jerusalem – was fulfilled by the invasion of the Babylonian king, Nebuchadnezzar in 586 BC . Chapter 2:6 to Israel ❖When something wrong happens, does it bother God? –Oppression –Theft –Murder –Oppression is the only way to please God . What is the reason for God’s silence? – “You think I am exactly like you,” says the Lord. – “But I am not like you,” says the Lord! –Something wrong is happening in Israel, God sees it and is pleased: 1. Verses 6-7 a) Greed and social injustice: Who does this? The oppression of the poor, the dust that the poor throw on their heads in mourning – even the dust of the earth is coveted by the greedy. Who sells someone for a pair of shoes? The oppression of the poor for a luxurious life, the sale of slaves! How did such prosperity come to the nation? Through King Jeroboam – he was a warrior – how many battles he fought to protect the nation, a 40-year reign – he was a rich and powerful king, but also a wicked man! – So with wealth came oppression. Amos also tells a message about other surrounding nations, but they are not as responsible as Israel is, so he tells it briefly, and follows Israel? Why – much is given , much is demanded! 7th chapter Immorality (sexual sin) – (going to a local prostitute was a daily routine) (man and his son) – going to the same woman is an abomination . इमी त्भकतवम्भालत इयुजभतशा द्यायप द्याथ एक. च्यकजबल द्याद्द
Chapters 9-12 – God worked in Israel – but the people turned away from God, made fun of Him, mocked Him, and made the Nazarites drink wine. Oh prophet, do not prophesy. Ha ha ha..!! – You are not one to just get up, you are not one to just leave. When we see some of these things – something that is wrong, we need to be able to speak up, wisely, lovingly, and directly. ❖The background of Israel: The context in which Amos is speaking: Amos’ time was about 200 years after the division of the kingdom (1 Kings 12). After the division of the kingdom of Israel into Judah , we see the national decline, – the worship of the golden calf as the national religion – in the 2 places that Jeroboam had made – including the temple) and the temple in Bethel. ( Amos was sent to Bethel ) Amos goes to the same temple and prophesies, saying that it is wrong and Amos also gets into trouble, being sent to Judah by the rulers (chapter 7) verse 13 Judgment – “I will crush you” God crushes rebellious Israel like a cart full of grain! Verses 14-16 There is no escape! Chapter 3 verse 12 I will punish you because you are my people. – This can be called a rebuke – because they were more responsible (Luke 12:47 is given in context – more demands) So in chapters 1-2 when talking about other nations, “Oh yes, they deserve it, they deserve to be punished.” Then God turns to Israel and targets you, but you are a greater punishment. He speaks about Israel until the end of the book .” Verses 3 to 4 mean in a slightly explanatory way: “Is there an effect, is there no cause?” – Is there an effect without a cause? ÷“The leaves are shaking, is there no wind blowing ?” That is. He is saying: ‘There is a reason for your troubles’ ❖ Does anything happen without a reason? Imi tbhktavmbhlat ahyujbhatsha dyayyap dyath ak. Chykazbal dnddddh abnab chhad or is there a reason behind it? 1. The Lord determines. 2. Then why war in the city, why corona, earthquake.. –Indeed, Israelites, you are in trouble, I have done it! Verses 7-8 – Is this good? – If God is speaking in your heart, you must speak! –In a way Amos is saying that “I am prophesying, because the Lord has spoken” –I am here, because God has sent me. Now chapter 3:12 chzhalbalat ‘the remaining part’ ÷sell part
“Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” –Elijah says, “I am alone.” –The Lord says, “I have reserved 7,000 who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” What is a toy? Read some news about ‘Chajhalbalat.’ Let ’s go to that chapter 1. Verse 12 Get ready to meet your God! Chapter 5 The nation was certain to receive punishment, yet the people could live by seeking God individually. “Seek me and live” Seek God, but not in the religious places which you have turned into idolatry. – By perverting justice into poison – By consuming bribes/corruption – By rebuking the righteous and true witness – By perverting social justice – By depriving the poor of justice, by oppressing them – By participating in religious gatherings and festivals. –Offerings, sacrifices and Amos says – “God hates such worship .” 8 This is religious hypocrisy. In fact – “A right relationship with God also keeps relationships with people right.” And together – the relationship with people shows, what is his relationship with God? This is the one who is devoted to God. Let’s read the verse from verse 21.. Verse 24 The main thing is justice: water righteousness: a mighty river flowing – this is true worship. Why are justice and righteousness important? It is important to God, but false gods and false religions do not demand it, they themselves are corrupt, but not Yahweh! ❖ Justice (ज्वद हुक्कजुबत) means: the action taken to correct injustice, so that social justice is established. ❖ Righteousness (ज्वद त्कभमबत्रवाज) Meaning: This is the relationship between people, regardless of their social differences . Therefore, worship with justice and righteousness is acceptable. – Sacrifices without justice and righteousness are counted, they cannot be smelled – Songs without justice and righteousness are just noise, they should be stopped.
– If you are not right with your brother, first be right with him and offer your offering . Matthew 5:23-24 Now chapter 6 in general : – The guilt is revealed about their luxurious life/enjoyment luxurious life /surely judgment will come upon those who live in it. You have many parties, verse 12 is the main one in chapter 6. He who does not love his brother, how can he love God ? John says. Chapter 7 Now – Visions of Amos’ call: Verses 1-2 – Vision of locusts – It bites because of Amos’s plea . Verses 4-5 – Vision of consuming fire – One attempt. Verses 7-9 – Vision of the plumb line – This time the judgment was not going to be reversed. Plumb line = A device to measure straightness . The plumb line is a good example of truth. – Are you straight with truth? (Can be measured) side by side – Wall = Israel. Plumb line = God’s law – The high places and holy places would be destroyed because they were not straight. Let’s read from verse 10 onwards… ❖ Amos is expelled from the land. The kings drive him out of Israel, from now on his ministry in Israel is over. Amos, get out of here, Israel The officials are saying go . Yes I want to go, I am not here of my own free will, God told me to go, he explains his ministry. 14-15 Dan Bethel Samaria Gilgal Imi Tbhkatbmbhalat Hyaujbhatsha Dyayyap Dyath Ek. Verse 4 – On Leviticus 4-6 – Punishment 7-10 – Curse 11-14 – Result Verse 11 – They would not listen just now, they will not find the word. – By the Urim and Thummim – By the prophets – Nor by dreams – Nor by the written word, the parchment Bible. Verses 13,14 Especially the calf worshipers who worshiped and called on the name of the god – will fall – will not rise again – the result
of going to false gods, idolaters, false religions, leaving the living God , – we will not receive the Word – we will be destroyed. Now chapter 1 the fifth vision – the last vision) ❖ Let’s read the temple building verses 1-4 God was with them, not for good, but for evil – those who escaped by building the temple would be killed by the sword – not one would be left. – Those who tried to escape the sword –

He hits the doorpost of the temple of Bethel, and the entire building is destroyed, this is a picture of the judgment of the leaders of Israel, the idolaters, and those gods! – Their end has come: Let’s read verse 8 – The only hope “This generation is the promise of Yahweh” “The power of the Lord” So from verse 11 – and at some point after all the nations are taken captive into the sinful kingdom – wonderful blessings await the faithful: Verses 11-15 – This actually speaks of the “thousand year kingdom” : God always held out the “thousand year kingdom” as a hope for the Jews – Abraham also looked forward to that city verse 11 I will restore the house of David from the ruins . And I will build a family of people in God again – quoted in Acts 15:15-17. The future Messianic Kingdom is God’s kingdom over all nations verses 13-15 – The blessings of the Messianic Kingdom So the book of Amos explains that the relationship between God’s justice and mercy is one. The Book of Hosea is a book that teaches us that the destruction of Israel’s hypocrisy and hypocrisy – that true worship will always prevail – ❖ This is what the Book of Amos teaches! Outline of the Book of Hosea The Book of Hosea Hosea – The Prophet of the Broken Heart Name: Hosea means – “Salvation” or “Help” Hosea is also called the “Jeremiah of the Northern Kingdom”. Also known as the “ Prophet of Grace”
– Hosea was the son of ‘Beri’ – not much else is known. – Hosea may have been from the northern kingdom – Hosea’s ministry is given as 760-710 – Hosea’s time of ministry is called the 8th century B.C. – which is known as the golden age of Hebrew prophecy. Jonah’s successful journey to Nineveh was at the beginning of this era. From the midpoint to the end of the 8th century, 4 other great prophets appeared in history. God is good, He must judge the wickedness of Israel and other nations , but His ultimate plan is to restore the world and build His new covenant family . The prophet Amos was called to preach in the northern kingdom, and during the same period, Hosea was called to preach in the year of the death of the king of Judah ( 739 BC), and the prophet Micah ministered in the south at the same time . So there were about 5 great prophets ministering in the same era . – Hosea’s call to ministry begins with the command to “marry a prostitute.” (Hosea 1:2) Hosea’s unquenchable love for his wife reveals God’s faithful love despite the unfaithfulness of Israel and the people . (John 3:16) – By marrying an unfaithful wife, which perhaps no other prophet could have done, Hosea reflects and presents God’s heartache for the northern kingdom. God’s people were constantly committing spiritual adultery, and adultery against God . – For illustration purposes: Hosea’s own marriage was a visual and ongoing example of the message he delivered to Israel. – The names of Hosea’s children describe the future judgment and eternal restoration of Israel ! Hosea – God’s picture Gomer – Fallen/adulterous Israel Hosea’s children – Judgment and punishment Imi tbhkatbmbhalat echyuuzbhatsha dyayyap dyath ek. Chykazbal dnddddd abnab tath – We see Hosea ministering more than any other prophet. – Hosea predicted the Assyrian invasion, and Hosea later saw that prophecy fulfilled in 722 BC! – Israel is consistently referred to as Ephraim/Ephraim in his book . – Because Ephraim was the first of the Israelite tribes to backslide . God uses Ephraim to represent the proud tribe/tribe – a bit bad – the entire nation of Israel .
❖ The theme of the book of Hosea: “God’s love for those who have fallen away ” ❖ The book is long, with 6 chapters and 14 chapters (one by one). – It is particularly difficult to outline the message, as the subject matter changes so quickly that it seems that the book of Hosea must be a compilation of the preaching notes of Hosea’s long ministry : Hosea 1,2 – The prostitute 1. There could be a prostitute in the temple. Because they had the Canaanite god Baal (the god of the seasons and fertility). Agriculture, fertility, children are fruitful, how blessed are you? So sexual activity in the temple to please the god of fertility was also something to please the god of worship. Imi tbhktavmbhlat ehyuujbhatsha dyayyap dyath ek. Chykazbal dnddddh abnav tod 2. There could be a common prostitute, – What is a prostitute? We understand that – a woman who is willing to have many men, for religion or money, pleasure, or whatever reason. So God tells Hosea to marry and have children! The first child – it seems, is Hosea’s child , the second, the third first – “I have accepted her.” Gomer has been faithful to Hosea up to this point, – she has probably stopped her prostitution . But with the second child she left her husband. – She went back to prostitution. So what is the picture of Hosea marrying a prostitute? God is comparing this part with prostitution. God is referring to prostitution as idolatry. – What is the relationship between prostitution and idolatry? But God is stopping it in parallel. – The Lord says – this country has gone from following the Lord and has committed great prostitution. – It is like worshipping you and other gods. Then this idolatry is spiritual adultery with the living God. – For I am a ‘jealous God’. You shall have no other gods before me – Ten Commandments – First) So God = Faithful Husband Imi Tbhaktavmbhalat Achyujbhatasha Dyayap Dyath Ek. Chyakazbal Dnddddh Abnabh Tdh Israel = Unfaithful Wife When a Child is Born – First Child – This I acknowledge – I was faithful to you Israel. But in the second and third children you have forsaken me – You have turned away from me, you are no longer my people. Name Second Child – Daughter = Lo-ruhamah (meaning: not shown mercy) Third Child – Son = Lo-ammi (meaning: not my people) Verses 10-11 A glimpse of the Messianic Kingdom : Even though it has been going on for so long now – God is reminding us of the great blessings that will come later.
Verse 10 God is remembering the covenant He made with Abraham. One leader – “Christ the King” ÷ Both nations become one. Chapter 2:1 verse – These words are spoken to the restored people. After their relationship with the Lord is restored , they are called to proclaim it to their brothers and sisters. Chapter 2 verses 1-5 (A mother who is unfaithful to her husband) Imi tbhkatvmbhalat echyaujbhatsha dyayyap dyath ek. Chykazbal dnddddh abnab thn – The prophet is comparing Israel to a beautiful woman, a beautiful happy lifestyle – then comes shame, embarrassment, nakedness, being seen as foolish, being rejected by people, being taken into captivity. Verse 5 This lover – the Baal god – must be!! – God is speaking here as a husband who has been severely wronged – that “She is not my wife, I am not her husband!” Verses 6-13 The punishment begins: Verse 8 God is speaking: Read these verses. Penk – God is the one who gave them the blessing. Right? Their lover Baal thought that they had gotten those things, so God would take those blessings away. Yes, God punished them, but not to completely end the relationship but to restore it. Look, verses 14-23 . Verse 14 He speaks to her easily – as a father . Verse 15 The days of her youth – when she came out of Egypt – she was still young. (Like a young girl – all one nation) She was the first. Verse 16 Jesus – the husband of the Lord , the one who is From verse 19 – God, who had forbidden marriage , would betroth her to him by paying her a price of righteousness, justice, mercy, and tender mercies. Just as a man would pay a bride price when he betrothed a virgin – in the Jewish Ritual! – Then Israel would know God in response to the abundant love of God showered upon her ! Verse 21 Now the blessing is revealed. Chapter 3 Hosea’s Restoration of Marriage – Just as Hosea’s experience with his unfaithful wife illustrated Israel’s rejection of the Lord, his union with his wayward wife shows that God’s love for Israel was restored: Verse 1 God told Hosea to show his love once again to the adulterous wife . (It’s like this – show unconditional love to your wife .) Verses 2-3 – More details about what happened there – “The Lord’s
Hosea obeyed the command. Hosea paid the ransom and freed his wife – a large sum of money (15 shekels of silver and a measure of barley) the equivalent of a slave. (Exodus 21:32) How Hosea and his wife got into this situation is uncertain , Hosea had money, (I don’t think so) perhaps she had been a temple prostitute, perhaps deceived by her lovers and sold into slavery. Having obtained the legal right of redemption for Gomer, Hosea declares to Gomer that her adulterous life is now over . Verses 4-5 Kingless The Last King Messiah (King of Judah) 1000 years from now they will have no king – that’s for a long time! Even today they have no king, they have a king but they do not know him. – No sacrifices were offered 70 years ago – Now they have no sacrifices – Now they are looking for the temple, the king and the sacrifices in these early days . Chapter 4 Chapters 4 to 14 we find Hosea’s messages: As given in the structure of the book Chapters 4:2–6:3 “Lack of knowledge of God ” 8 sins of the people verses 1 : 3–5 8 sins of the priests verses 6–10 8 sins of idolatry verses 11–29 586 द्या इमी त्भकतबम्भातशा द्याप द्याथ एक. च्यकजबल द्या्या Because the priests had rejected the knowledge of God, they were rejected: verses 7,8,9 – like the priests of men. – They were not just in one place, they were scattered throughout the nation – so that they could teach the people about God! Remember, when Jeroboam took over the kingdom, he removed the priests, the priests moved south or stayed here (apostated) – fell – then he used the priests to teach them to worship the golden calf , appointing lowly and lowly priests – (read 2 Kings 12) – who were not of the house of Levi. So the priests abandoned the law, there is no knowledge of the law, there is no teacher in the northern kingdom, there are no priests of God – but the priests, as there are people, so there are priests. If people are homosexuals = priests are also homosexuals. If people are dishonest = priests are also dishonest. The same comment says – priests also practiced literal prostitution, child worship in the temple, with temple prostitutes.
Verse 16 – The retreating doe? Doe – should be like a calf or a young bull that is left alone – Imi tbhkatbmbhalat ehyuujbhatsha dyayyap dyath ek. Chykazbal dnddddh abnabh thddh (Reference: Hosea 10:12) What is the relationship between doe and lamb? In a wide open place = open to attack, that must be the meaning. Soon becomes prey. Verse 15 – Beth-aven is the same as Bethel – another name used in a sarcastic way – Bethel – the house of God Beth-aven – the house of deceit (their idolatry spoiled the identity of the place!) (making it clear to Judah not to follow in Israel’s footsteps) Verse 17 Ephraim – represent the entire nation of Israel, okay. Chapter 5 is the judgment given to Israel. Verse 15 As long as I am wrong, you will not admit, ‘How wrong I am’ – “I will return to my place .” Now chapter 6 verses 1-3 Hosea is calling for repentance – like people Jesus is resurrected and we will live before Him but Pastor Saylor explains it this way. After 2 days – 1 day is a thousand years for God. 2 days 3 days (2000 years) 1000 years – He will raise up Israel. The time that God has torn – it seems that for 2000 years the Israelites were scattered, persecuted, smitten, torn apart in 1948 Imi Tvktavmbhalat HYUJBHATSHAA DYAYAP DYATH A. Chykazbal Ddanddddd Ebanbh Thach They are resurrected – now there is another 1 day 1000 years where Christ reigns – Messianic Kingdom verses 1-3 are promising the future – to the Israelites Chapter 6:4-11:11 – Lack of mercy Chapter 6:4-11 God says “I desire mercy, not outward religion. ” Verse 6 is the verse. Is the word mercy? Is it dangerous for God’s people to show outward forms of worship and to neglect inward worship? It is better – to show mercy rather than sacrifice, to know my cause rather than burnt offerings. Chapter 7 – Not murder but mercy Ephraim’s iniquity – Let’s read verses 1-3 verses 4-7 The oven is hot, he sleeps all night, and burns even more, hot – adultery, murder, crime, sins – it is burning like an oven . Verse 8 Ephraim – It is unleavened bread – (What is unleavened bread?) Have you eaten it? – It is good to bake bread – but it must be baked well – 5 minutes at a time – 5 minutes at a time. – Unturned – Uncooked, incomplete, unbalanced life is a bad thing . It is not of good use. It looks good, it is bread, but it is not worth eating! Verse 9 Your strength is failing, and you do not know it – (blond hair = strength is failing as you grow old! Verse 11 Foolish fool = wandering from here to there, one thing to another. (A man who is disobedient) ❖ They were relying on foreign powers to maintain national relations ! Verse 16 Deceiving bow = Bow that goes in the wrong direction – I cannot trust you/untrustworthy. Chapter 8 – Not a violation of the law but mercy Verses 1-3 – You say we know you – but you do not. Verse 4 – God did not appoint kings for Israel – He allowed it just as He allows the wicked, explain the same verse, Chapter 9 “Does God love these people, or does He not? These words and judgments come from the same God, whose heart is very big for His people. God is sad, what has happened there – a broken heart, even when He tries to bring them back, they have turned away from Him Chapter 9 – Great Loss = “Sin results in great loss” Verses 1-2 – Loss of pleasure – Alcohol represents pleasure . Imi tbhktavmbhlat hyuujbhatsha dyayyap dyath ak. Chykazbal dnddddh abnav thth Verses 3-5 – Loss of spiritual opportunities Verse 6 – Loss of ancestral property – After they went into captivity. What is Megphis? – There was an ancient city of (Bhnathawut) where the pyramids were. Verses 7-9 The lock of discernment – Know always that whenever we turn away from God, we lose discernment. Spiritual people fail to discern Verses 10-16 Productivity/fertility/birth rate is decreasing: Remember the fertility god – ? He is no longer doing a good job! Your gods are false gods, they are not gods, I will destroy them. Chapter 10 God’s punishment of fallen religion Verse 2 Divided heart Verse 8 Revelation 6 also says the same thing – when judgment is very fierce – there is nowhere to go – the righteous go to God, to take refuge, the wicked are thus cast down to the ground. Chapter 10:12-15 Appeal to Repentance Sow the seed of righteousness – practice righteousness with your neighbors and brothers – then you will reap – divine grace. Galatians 6:6-7 True heart. Imi tbhaktavmbhalat echyaujbhatsha dyayap dyath one. Chykazbal ddandddha abnabh thad Sowing the seed is to prepare to cultivate – let us prepare for a new kind of life. Verse 13 is true. Now in chapter 11:1 the ‘my son’ quoted in the New Testament – the nation – the Messiah – has a double meaning. Israel was a child when she was in Egypt. In chapter 11 God is presented as a loving father – a father who loves, who raised his son Israel and divided everything – (verses 3-4) but the son grew up, became stubborn and rebellious and turned away from his father, taking advantage of his tenderness. So in this passage God is emotionally divided : – one moment he is angry, that I will bring terrible consequences (verses 5-7) – but the next moment his heart breaks, he is in turmoil. – Then he says – my compassions have awakened together – and he will have mercy on his beloved son. Verses 8-9 – Nevertheless God allows them to be taken captive by the Assyrians, but that is not the last word, there is still hope. – (Adaiah and Zeboiim Deuteronomy 29:23 Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed together . Imi tbhaktavmbhalat ehyuujbhatsha dyayyap dyath ek. Chykazabal dnddddh abnabh thdh Verses 10-11 – In the last days the children will hear the call of the father , and will return from the four corners of the earth, they will come as quickly as the birds. That happened, didn’t it? Now chapters 12-14 The lack of faithfulness of the covenant Chapter 12:1-2 – The foreign alliance with Assyria and Egypt Verses 3-6 The Lord goes back in history and reminds us, there is a contradiction between the life of their ancestors and their life now! Verse 8 Look, we are prosperous, if we had sinned how could we be rich, how could we be blessed? The logic? The truth was sent

. Read the rest of the verses Chapter 13:1-8 – From life to death 9-16 – From Death to Life Verses 1-2 Spiritual Death Verses 4-6 The result of prosperity was to turn away from God (Deuteronomy 8:11) So they became prosperous, flourished, and were satisfied, so they forgot God! It can happen to us too. Verses 7-8 – This is how their death would come – Instead of being a serious God who would come upon them as a wild beast, Yahweh would be a lion. A wild beast = their enemy! Verses 9-16 From Death to Life Let’s read verses 14-15 – The one who will pay the price for their redemption from death. The one who will give them life – challenges death to its worst potential. And will not be victorious either – God can bring back life from death, complete destruction, and even from a state of inactivity, just like the resurrection of Jesus . – 1 Corinthians 15:55 is about the resurrection of the dead. – Israel will also be resurrected as a nation, it happened.
Verses 15-16 – But the agent is true for the present moment. Chapter 14 The Final Appeal for Repentance In this chapter the prophet paints a beautiful picture of what God will do for God’s patient people. Verses 1-3 The call to repentance – a complete return to God. General repentance is accepted. Verse 2 Not empty-handed – Perhaps we can lead His people before Him – See, didn’t you say so? – Verse They will no longer rely on any military force for salvation and protection, and – Yahweh is a merciful Father. – Verses 4-5 The immediate result of repentance: God responds immediately . Apostasy is seen as a disease that God will heal . Love is not anger – repentance does this. Verses 5-7 – Prosperity, prosperity, beauty will return again! The beauty and glory of the nation is in the one. When will this happen? In the thousand-year kingdom, of course. Verse 8 – God says, Come to me. God is the tree of life – from which Israel will get its fruit! The last verse is left out in the 9th render with a warning – the wise and understanding can easily discern these things (which Hosea wrote). The ways of the Lord are straight = (right) –÷the ways of the wicked are crooked. Yes, those paths are revealed in His Word, in which the righteous will walk straight. The wicked – those who reject the word of the Lord will not experience abundant life and eternal life! – Just as Jesus Christ also became a stumbling block. (The wicked stumble ) – I think we understand this, we understand the book of Hosea, we read it, we understand its phrasing, we meditate on it – by the grace of God – we can say – we understand! – we are people who have played by faith. Amen “The Book of Micah” ‘The Prophet of the Savior of Bethlehem ’ Micah’s name means: “Who is like Yahweh?” Imi tbhkatbmbhalat echyaujbhatsha dyayyap dyath ek. Chykazbal dnddd He was sent for – Jerusalem plus Samaria ÷ He certainly ministered before the destruction of Samaria in 722 B.C. – We are not far from 750-700 B.C.! This age in the Hebrew prophets = the Golden Age of Hebrew prophecy (8th century B.C.)
Century BC) – Micah along with – Amos – Jonah – Hosea – Isaiah (Isaiah 1:1) So Micah’s mission was to correct ‘iniquity’ and ‘injustice’ in the land of Judah by warning of judgment. And the highest purpose was to announce the future kingdom of God, which would be established in the land by the coming ruler! – Micah’s preaching was done in the capital city of Jerusalem rather than in the homes and villages , at the same time Isaiah was also proclaiming, his preaching! – So the book of Micah – 7 chapters ÷ 105 verses ÷ imi tbhkatbmbhlat echyaujbhatsha dyayyap dyath ek. The structure of the book of Micah is: Immediate judgment Current corruption Supreme present to handle Announcement Punishment Blessing Repentance Hope (1:2-2:5) (2:6-3:12) Promise Request Demonstration (4:4-5 ) (6:1-7:6) (7:7-20) Chapters 1-2 Chapters 3-5 Chapters 6-7 Message to the nations Message to leaders, rulers Message to Israel (First message) (Second..) (Third..) The book of Micah presents some contradictions (but this is beautiful): – Yahweh is the God of Israel, at the same time the God of all nations. – Yahweh is the judge, at the same time He is also the savior. – Yes, His anger is terrible, at the same time He shows His wrath. – He demands and executes justice, yet He promises forgiveness . – Yahweh scatters, but at the same time He gathers His flock. – He will destroy Zion, but He will also revive it. ❖The book of Micah contains 40 specific prophecies. 73 verses are involved, about 705 of the book: The complete destruction of Samaria (1:1–7) – The birth of the Messiah (5:2) – The exaltation of the Messianic Jerusalem (2:1–8) The book of Micah is a book of prophecy. The book of Micah contains 2 key words: 1. Justice 2. Mercy They are based on the Messianic covenant (Deuteronomy 27–28) ❖ Is justice necessary? In our society? – Is it important? In the Bible? ❖ Let’s say – there is no justice in the world, what would the world be like ? – Theft, murder, sexual abuse, rape, evil, sacrifice, oppression, injustice, etc. (no justice plus no law) ❖ What kind of injustices happen to people. ❖ Do you believe in the new? (Not a good question) So Micah, he is a prophet from God, he doesn’t care about other things , he only declares the word, of the judgment that was about to come.
Chapter 1 Verse 1 His words are authoritative from the Lord. This is one of the many visions where he received the words. Verse The whole earth is called to testify against God’s covenant people . This is the one who is called to testify against God’s covenant people. The whole earth Verses 3-5 explain why He will come down with power “All this – the transgression of Jacob and the sin of the house of Israel – the sin of the whole nation, both north and south. ❖ What is the transgression of Jacob? Samaria – the government and capital – the headquarters of idolatry. ❖ What is the high place of Judah? Jerusalem – the high place, the place of idolatry – we find that the main place of Judah’s transgression was Jerusalem. This must have been before Hezekiah, who had not removed these high places even through the best of Judah’s kings (Hezekiah destroyed the high places in 2 Chronicles 31:1), removed them. Verse 6 God declares “death to the capital cities ” in Samaria before Judah because Samaria is a cup of iniquity that is about to be filled. – The destruction of Jerusalem is like the destruction of Samaria, (chapter 3:12) cities and villages are seen to be being built. Imi Tbhkatbmbhalat HYAUJBHATSHAA DYAYAP DYATH A. CHYAKAZBAL DANDDDDD ABNABH DAT – City destruction – False religion (destruction of idolatry) – Prostitution – Spiritual adultery – with a prostitute, unfaithfulness to her husband – (Hosea explained). – These prophecies were fulfilled – In 722 BC – The Assyrians came and destroyed the city. The most terrible destruction of Samaria was done in part by the soldiers of the Jewish high priest John Harkanus in 107 BC ! Verses 8-9 – Lamentation over the coming judgment This prophet is Micah, night and day – foxes and ostriches naked – because the nation is like that. (Without the upper garment) – which pictured defeat and abandonment , (half naked) wounds – given by wickedness and idolatry. Micah did this and revealed his true feelings for his nation. Verse 16 Why this extreme grief? Because your happy children have gone from you to captivity. (Remember the captivity and go)
This event had not yet happened, but it was so certain that it had already happened, “has passed away” in the perfect present tense. Chapter 2 Chapter 1 announces the immediate judgment, while chapter 2 explains the reason for that judgment. Here are some woes: इमी त्वकतवम्भात्वलत इयुजभत्तशा द्याप द्यात एक . Let’s read verses 1-2 They did it – but woe – used to express the experience of sorrowful grief at someone’s death! Woe because judgment is coming, you. The evil deed of planning on the bed, the trick of the heart. – To accept a plan as soon as the morning light falls. This group of people – the rich, the high-class people, the rulers, the leaders and the rulers are the ones who are involved in and allowing the evil . – The leaders, the rulers – those who have the power to do this. – Psalm 6, The family land was part of their own right – it was every family. – (Do not remove old landmarks) – (Read Numbers 36:7) The rulers are the ones who encroach on the boundaries, the ones who encroach on the rights of others. (King Ahab) – Such artists were condemned by the law. – Leviticus 6:2, 19:13, Deuteronomy 24:14. Verse 3 – I will devise a disaster against you, you who devise evil plans ! Lamentation = “As you have done, so it will be with you.” – They will be the victors of justice. (Like the land grabbers, the land will be taken away). Verse 50 The concept is that the land must be returned every 50 years – The point here is that when the land is divided among certain families, there will be no one to represent and claim it . ‘In the congregation of the Lord’. Imi tbhktavmbhlat ihyuujbhatsha dyayyap dyath eek. Verse 6 – Micah and other true prophets were forbidden to preach – Those who live godless lives do not like to hear the word of the Lord. Verse 7 – Do not prophesy, God will not judge, God is loving , where is justice ? – (The false prophets were saying this) And God says, Is the Spirit of the Lord short? Does the Holy Spirit tell the prophets to speak this message? Is this what He does ? – His words – It benefits those who walk uprightly. – Is justice also acceptable to those who walk uprightly? – Verses 8-9-10 Verse 11 They are false prophets, if you give me food, I will tell you what you want to hear. (If you give me money) (But true prophets usually do not say things that people want to hear, they say things that people
They don’t like to listen – isn’t that true? They like such prophets, about wine and liquor, about healing and prosperity, with itching ears (2 Timothy 4:3-4 ). But what does the true prophet say – “I tell you that there is wickedness in high places, there are people stealing, defrauding , oppressing people, wrong is being done, you need to repent and turn to God . Where is the one who To do, to hate what is encouraged. Verse 3 Sin against mercy – (3 savagery) – Treating sheep like wild wolves. They were like butchers. Like rabils – they don’t care about people. Do you eat them? Piece by piece. – That is oppression and pressure, God’s people, Micah, who want to live faithful and righteous lives. Verse 4 There is a system of justice for them. – Verses 5-8 are transferred to false prophets. Verse 5 – Only if you put something in their mouths (If you feed them , pay them, they will tell you. – If we don’t pay, they will fight you.) Imi tbhaktavmbhalat achyaujabhatsha dyayayapa dyath eka. Homosexuality, adultery, abortion, drugs, sex trafficking, evil, sin. They do not address these issues. (Jeremiah 5:31) – It is like this – because my people like it to be like this . Verses 6-7 – Against judgment – ‘Corrupt false prophets’ – There will come a time when, people will not seek these prophets, prosperity preachers – they are done with – when reality hits. People are not always healed, prosperity does not come.
Verse 8 Micah – that is what he is. – True prophet – True preacher (full of power, full of determination) filled with the Holy Spirit, anointed, a preacher of truth, speaking of sin, crime, its consequences, judgment, repentance. Verses 9-12 Leaders, do you serve because you were paid for? Or is it in your hands? Now, leaders, why will Jerusalem be destroyed? Chapter 4 verses 1-8 ‘Hope’ (this is about the present time) is, there is justice – but the prophet could see much further than justice. “They see the glory of the Messiah’s kingdom” – Israel is said to be the center of all nations. This is the one who will be the center of all nations. The one who will be the Weapons of war – production, agriculture, will be transformed into purpose. The Book of Nahum – The name Nahum means “comforter” – He was from Galilee – The literal meaning of Kaptanhum is ‘village of Nahum’. Therefore, many believe that Kaptanhum was the village of the prophet Nahum! – The book has one main theme: (the complete and terrible destruction coming to Nineveh ) – Micah, the first world empire – violent, brutal, merciless, military. Nineveh was said to be impregnable, with walls 100 fathoms high, wide enough for chariots to pass through. – Nineveh fell in 612 BC (about 18 years after the prophecy ) completely destroyed by the Medes from the north and the Babylonians from the south ! – Nahum not only prophesied that Nineveh would fall, but also how it would fall (1:8..“the flood”) – History tells us that the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar besieged the city for 3 years, (3 great attacks against it – yet failed each time). Inside Nineveh, the Assyrians were rejoicing, drinking and partying , when suddenly the Tigris River flooded and overflowed its banks, crashing against the city walls. (There was an old
The prophecy was that Nineveh would not fall until the river became the enemy of the city) – this is exactly what happened and soon all the walls were torn down and the Babylonians began to attack and the great and proud city was destroyed! The city of Nineveh fell in the year 100 BC . The time of Nahum – God used Jonah 100 years ago to save this city from judgment, but now they are cruel, wicked, and their sins have crossed the line, God calls Nahum to declare judgment! Book of Zephaniah – The name Zephaniah means: The Lord hides or protects. – He was a descendant of King Hezekiah, the son of King Khandan. – He ministered in the days of King Josiah, the last good king of Judah. His son was Zephaniah. (Josiah was 8 years old when he became king.) – His ministry must have contributed greatly to the great revival that took place in 622 B.C.E. , which occurred during Josiah’s reign, when the Book of the Law was found in the temple. – Ministry period: 630-605 B.C.E. சேக்கால ன்ன்
Verse 5 Malcam – the chief god of the Ammonites. – (those who mix the worship of Yahweh with the worship of Malcam) Verse 7 In a way – Cease your activities, and be silent before the LORD, repent and be silent. – The day of Yahweh is near, the time is up – Judgment is near. This day also tells of the judgment that will come upon Jerusalem and Judah! – The day of Yahweh is mentioned 19 times in Zephaniah – this is the first.
Verse 12 – The low view of Yahweh – He cannot do anything as if God’s promises and threats were for them something like a day – a day – that day ! This is the day of Yahweh, the day of Yahweh , the day of Yahweh . But those who say that idols can do something, verse 13 then says, “I will show you” what Yahweh can do. Verse 14 again = “The day of the Lord is near” – this is the final judgment that will take place in the eternal-last days – on this basis God declares judgment on Judah. All the present temporal judgments are awaiting the final judgment of the Lord. – The present judgments declare the final judgment! (In fact, this judgment of Judah was also near, after Josiah’s religious awakening in 622 BC – 17 years later – in 605 BC during the reign of Jehoiakim Judah was taken to Babylon – people, young men from Judah were taken to Babylon, (Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach..) – then – in 597 BC during the reign of King Jehoiachin – Nebuchadnezzar besieged the city and took about 10,000 captives/exiled. – Finally in 586 BC Jerusalem was destroyed. Verse 15 – Verse 16 = Characteristics of the Day of the Lord. Verse 18 – There will be no escape by using wealth. (Rich friends) God’s wrath is fire! Chapter 2 – Have you heard about judgment? – Repent now! – An Undesired Nation – Because you did not desire Yahweh – – … First (4 times) Imi The Lord Jesus Christ is the only one .
❖ Prophets – speaking of their own desires , having no power in their tongues, deceivers and deceivers (light – no weight) – used this sacred work for their own benefit ! ❖ Priests – defiled the holy place, they should have taught and maintained purity (broken the sacred laws) . Verses 11-12 – Verse 14 Joy÷Verse 15 King-Messiah There will come a day of great joy and gladness, far above the present momentary judgment of Judah . Verse 14 – Zion – The name given to all the redeemed. – Why rejoice? Verse 15. The answer is: First – Judgment has been removed. Second – Yahweh the King Himself dwells in the midst of the New Jerusalem. Verse 16 Therefore, do not be afraid, Jerusalem in the Messianic Kingdom does not need to be afraid. Verse 17 One of my favorite nations – – When He sees His people serving Him with joy and trust , He rejoices. – He is silent in His love – He will be satisfied with their service, because of His love – God stands still. – It says, along with that He even sings joyfully for His people . (Are we excited to hear that talk?) He will return from exile: After returning from Babylonian captivity – The Jews learned something! From the Jews: 1. Never worshipped idols – Imi tbhkatbmbhalat echyaujbhatsha dyayyap dyath ek. Chykazbal dnddddd abnabh gngh 2 things they experienced. 2. Never had a king – Outline of the book of Habakkuk : 1. Introduction (1:1) 2. Habakkuk’s Question (Problem) and the Lord’s Answer (1:2–2:20) ❖ Question 1 – Why does God allow evil practices to continue in Judah? (1:2–4) Answer 1 – (1:5–11) ❖ Question 2 – Why does God use wicked people to punish Judah? (1:12–17) Answer 2 – (2:2Þ–20) 3. Habakkuk’s Praise (3:1–19) (Book of Habakkuk) – The name Habakkuk means ‘to embrace or to cling to’. Where he came from , no information about his lineage is given – (ज्यमभतयधल ?÷ Whose son?) – God was increasing the Babylonian power during Habakkuk’s time
Habakkuk saw the fall of Assyria (612 B.C.E.) – when the Babylonians were growing stronger by overthrowing the Assyrians. King Jehoiakim began to reign in 609 B.C.E., so we can place Habakkuk around this time, because it was during the reign of King Jehoiakim that Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, invaded Judah in 605 B.C.E. and they became slaves. (See 2 Kings 24) – The message: The immediate purpose of the book of Habakkuk is to prophesy the judgment of Judah and to declare the destruction of the Babylonians (Chaldeans). The ultimate purpose is to teach this great truth: “The righteous by faith shall live, and the wicked shall not go unpunished.” ❖ The book of Habakkuk is different from other prophetic books: ❖ There are 4 main prophecies in Habakkuk : 1. The expansion of the Babylonian empire. Like most other prophets in the ancient Near East , they spoke to nations, declaring judgment and punishment, pointing out guilt. Almost all of them are the same. Habakkuk is different. He questions, argues , complains to God (why God?). Why the suffering? Why is it that God is not pleased with him ? The prophet is not pleased with him. He is not pleased with him (1:5–11) . 2. The Babylonian invasion of Judah and the fall of Jerusalem in 586 B.C.E. (1:12 and 3:16b) . 3. The fall of Babylon in 531 B.C.E. (2:6–13/15–19, 3:16b) . 4. New Heaven and New Earth (2:14) Let’s read the verses: (1:2-4) Habakkuk – A man of deep faith – ‘clinging’ – He is trying to hang on to the faith. He has doubts, questions ( like us) We all have questions. – Why does the child die? – Why is my life like this? – Why haven’t you blessed me? ❖ Is it right to argue with God? – Yes, indeed! I should be able to bring all my things to God , (Ephesians 4) ÷ Isn’t that right? – (Even my unbelief). – Lord, I can’t believe it, yet I hang on. Verse 3 You have made me see the suffering and injustice in my society, have you? Would it have been better if I hadn’t seen it? Maybe!!÷ But when I see it, I can’t control myself, (hard to digest). 1. Corruption in government. 2. There is no law, (the book of Moses) Torah 5 books. Imi tbhktavmbhlat ehyuujbhatasha dyayyap dyath ek. Chykazbal dnddddh abnav gnnt 2 Kings 22:8 – which was lost! Where?÷in the temple – in the house of God÷now can that be? How can we lose the Torah, (such a big book roll÷big parchment). ❖ How did this happen?
– After Uzziah enters the temple and gets leprosy, his son Jotham closes the temple. – So the Book of the Law – gets lost in the house of God! – And it is found! Where? (Under the pulpit) – During the time of King Josiah. Now Habakkuk says, I have a problem with this – why is this happening? It affects my faith!! Verses 5-11 – God answers this – First answer – This is a prophecy about Judah. At that time Jeremiah was saying that this would happen (Jeremiah – a contemporary of Habakkuk’s prophet). God is bringing the wicked to judge the wicked . (That’s right!) – At the same time God says – ‘But I will judge Babylon also’. This leads to the second question – 1:12-17 ❖ Why would a holy God use a wicked nation more than the Jews and, in punishing the Jews, how could He be a just God? Why would He do this if He were a holy God? Verses 12,13 – Very profound!! He is God the Father: – But Christ the Son can – look at the wicked and die for them. He had the sin of the whole world in His body. He paid for it. He went to heaven and the Holy Spirit came into us. Dwells, ( in us wicked, sinful people) Meaning: God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit – are one – They cannot see wickedness – but administratively decide – that – the Son must die for sin. – The Holy Spirit must dwell in sinners. – It is possible, that we are justified by the blood of Christ, and have faith in God. – Habakkuk is saying – When the wicked swallow up the righteous more than themselves…. Why? – (In the rest of the verses.. Habakkuk – “I am waiting for God!” for an answer. And the Lord answered him. – (Chapter 2:2-20) Let’s read: Wait for the vision, this is the answer! Write the vision, hold on to it, wait for the time…– Verse 3 Habakkuk Wait for me, it will come, you just live by faith ! You may not understand it, it may be fine. But it is certain! When it comes, it will surely come! Verse 4 Pride – But just be righteous, I will not be afraid Answers… Why Babylon together? – God answers: – 5 woes from chapter 2:6….
– Verses 6, 9, 12, 15, 19 = The Babylonians are under a curse, it is only for a short time, Habakkuk. – Verse 20, very powerful – The only response to His awesome rule is to be ‘silent’! – You who have questions, submit to His sovereignty and His qualities and character and be silent! This is the good way to do it. – Habakkuk’s journey of question and answer struggle has only gone so far. – He got the answer/he is completely satisfied, and praising God . Chapter 3 – Yes we have our questions/no problem, that’s right – God answers and gives advice – and live accordingly . இமீ துக்கட்டவம் எயுஜ்ஞான் எயுஜ்ஞான் என்ன Opposite words – You love faith, full of pride. (Peace opposites pride and faith) – Please read chapter 3, it is good…. Verse 13 – Christ is mentioned. Verses 17-19 Wonderful/Famous – Put these verses in the vineyard, take them to the field and hang them . – You may fail in your field, but God will never fail you. Verse 18 – My wealth, my eternal reward, my possessions and joy = God is the one who removes all material comforts, while Habakkuk is established to rejoice in Yahweh as long as he lives in his body! Joy = is the person of Christ (Philippians 4:4 – We rejoice in the Lord.) – I can rejoice even when judgment comes – Knowing the character of Yahweh, He restores the faithful, leaving the rest. Verse 19 – Spiritual strength is the one who gives us the strength to endure hardships and to endure hardships . I put my faith in God, and God keeps on dancing and moving, I feel like I’m dancing on the table .
