Passive
- Ephesians 2:2
- “Passive,” according to Webster’s Dictionary, is the state or characteristic of being acted upon or having nothing as the object of the action. Passiveness can be easily defined in the sense that it is acting on such an inactive state of mind.
Apostasy is any thought outside of God’s word from above. Inactivity begins with giving space to a soul that leaves your mind in a state of lethargy, lethargy. Believers who are not rooted in the Word of God (Ephesians 3:17 / Colossians 2:7) use passivity as an escape route instead of facing the cross and being true disciples. Instead of living in the thoughts of God that produce equality in their feelings through a crucified will, they live in the ease of idle thoughts that please their feelings.
In imitation of the consolation of 2 Corinthians 1:4, Satan uses passiveness. Satan’s goal is to fill the minds of Christians with thoughts of the good times they had with Adam. He then further exposes those memories to the things that reveal the good things about Adam on a new man.
Idle thoughts make the believer immoral and nullify the very nature that was reproduced in them by the thoughts of God (Jeremiah 29:11).
They destroy the possibility of learning patience through obedience and tolerance. Passiveness says that tolerance does not fulfill our happiness. Inactivity leaves us in a state of laziness and forgetfulness and abandonment of promises.
