What is Anthropology called in Greek? | The Deep Secret of “Anthropos + Logos”
Anthropology is a combination of the Greek words “Anthropos” and “Logos.” This article deeply explains its biblical, philosophical, and practical meaning.
1. Introduction – The Journey of Anthropology
Ever since humans began to think about themselves, a serious question has arisen – “ Who am I? ” This question gave rise to anthropology. But when we hear the word “anthropology”, many do not know where its roots are buried. Its original word comes from the Greek language – “Anthropos” (human) + “Logos” (knowledge, study, thought) . Anthropology, formed by the combination of these two words, studies the origin, purpose, nature, culture and future of humans.
2. Etymology of Greek words – “Anthropos” and “Logos”
2.1. “Anthropos” (human) – What is man?
“Anthropos” is a Greek word meaning “human being.” It was
used by ancient Greek philosophers, especially Socrates, Plato , and Aristotle .
- “Anthropos” refers to both women and men – it is not gender specific, but a representation of the entire human race .
2.2. “Logos” (λόγος) – depth of thought
“Logos” in Greek means not just “word,” but also the expression of reason, thought, knowledge, doctrine , and wisdom . The same word is used
in the Bible in John 1:1 :
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)
The word used for “Word” here is Logos . Therefore, “anthropology” means “ the knowledge, logic, and intellectual study of humanity.”
3. What is Anthropology?
Anthropology is a broad study that examines the human race:
- Origin
- Evolution
- Culture
- Belief Systems
- Social Behavior
- It studies language, religion, the body, and consciousness.
3.1. Four major branches of Anthropology:
- Cultural Anthropology
- Biological Anthropology
- Linguistic Anthropology
- Archaeological Anthropology
4. The Bible and Anthropology – The Divine Perspective
According to the Bible, man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). This identifies man as a special being with a spiritual existence
, not just a biological being.
4.1. Genesis – The story of human origin
“God created man in his own image.” (Genesis 1:27)
4.2. Sin and the Fall – The Truth of Anthropology
- The Fall of Man adds another dimension to understanding anthropology.
- Our existence seems to contain shadows of both purity and decadence .
5. Anthropology in Philosophy – From Plato to Kierkegaard
5.1.Plato
- According to Plato, humans are divided into two parts – body and soul. The soul is immortal.
5.2. Kierkegaard
- It says that at the depths of human existence lies choice, concern, and faith .
5.3. Modern ideas
- Today’s anthropology also encompasses science, sociology, and psychology.
6. Christian Anthropology – The Process of Rediscovering Humanity in Christ
6.1. Jesus Christ – the representative of the new humanity
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
In Jesus Christ, man’s true identity is restored. He is the perfect man who revealed the meaning of our humanity.
6.2. The Holy Spirit – the Guide to Our Spiritual Awareness
Christian anthropology views man from a holistic perspective of body, soul, and spirit.
7. Practical Aspects – Why is it necessary to know anthropology?
- For self-knowledge:
To find the answer to the question “Who am I?” - Understanding society and culture:
Helps to understand diverse customs, behaviors, and traditions. - For religion and faith:
to develop a human perspective that is consistent with the Bible.
8. Conclusion – It is necessary to understand the depth of anthropology in Greek words
The word “Anthropology” is not just a combination of Greek words, but the deepest mystery of human existence .
“Anthropos + Logos” refers to knowledge that encompasses not only the physical human, but humanity as it relates to spiritual and divine purpose.
We studied the survey part-1 where we mainly studied 5 topics.
2) God scriptures
3) Christ scriptures
4) Holy Spirit scriptures
But, in part two we..
–7) What does the Bible say about sin.
–8) Salvation scriptures – What does the Bible say about salvation.
9)- Church Scriptures – What does the Bible say about the church?
–10) End-Day Scriptures – What does the Bible say about the last days.
Where does Satan attack: Where we are not full of education For example, at the beginning of creation, we can see Adam and Eve. In Genesis 3:1 – Did God really say that? The woman’s answer in verse 2 and verse 3 shows that “the women in that region are not full of education” is also important. Because God clearly said, Adam and the woman learned from Adam. Satan attacks where believers are not filled with teaching. That is why teaching must be preached on every subject, and we need to be filled with biblical teaching. 1 Timothy 4:1 – Teachings of demons in later times 2 Timothy 4:3-4 – Read. – Attacks teaching (or in the Word, in the Bible)

It raises questions, tries to cause trouble, promotes other teachings.
If it can’t do anything from the outside, it now enters or infiltrates and in this day and age there is an invasion of education. -There are many kinds of education). (Christ came to Korea, what a foolish and evil spirit-filled education).
That is why Bible college is important and is essential for every pastor (leader, believer).
1) Satan knows that Eve is not full of education.
2) And now he tries to change his mind and succeeds.
We need to be full of education in the matter of healing because there is an invasion in this matter.
(Tongues, apostles, orthodoxy, people-shaping, etc.)
3) When the mind changes, then the wrong choice is made. Bible college, serving God abroad, money, etc.
4) Wrong choices ruin life.
That is why it is necessary to be full of education in every area or subject.
That is why Satan seeks out weak believers and easy false teachers.
1 Peter 5:8 – A roaring and ravenous lion – a parable of the prey.
We will not take it lightly when we look at these five main points.
Because we will study them carefully now.
We will also study them personally.
And later we will teach them.
Now we will begin with “the book of man” to
see what the Bible says about man and what it says is true and correct.
“For this we will look first to the Psalms and to the Scriptures.”
The first 3 verses are about
the amazing power and wisdom of God. Verse 3 David learns as he observes God’s creation.
Verse 4 What then is man? And you pay attention to him.
That is a very good question.
The more we know God the more we know God and the more we know the Bible and God the more we know ourselves.
That is why “What is man?”
Let’s find the answer to this question from the Word.
What is man? Where did he come from? Where is he going?
Remember, we can think. We can think together.
The Bible clearly states that God created man in His own image. Genesis 1:26-27, 5:1
God created only man (Adam and Eve) in His own image and likeness (no other animals were mentioned).
Man is a very special creation of God.
“Evolution says that man came from monkeys.”
Now many monkeys should have become humans.
Over time, humans came by mutation (that is why they say millions of years)
but dogs give birth to dogs and monkeys give birth to monkeys and we can still see the same thing today.
But the Bible clearly states that God created man.
Genesis 1:1 – 2:25 The creation of man is described in detail.
(John 1:3, Colossians 1:16, Hebrews 11:3)
God created man only in His own image and likeness.
Man is not God but a creation of God.
Image and likeness
refer to 1) Man is God’s representative on earth.
2) Man is His best creation.
3) God gave man dominion over the earth.
4) Man is very important to God.
5) Man can have fellowship with God.
6) Man is completely different and separate from other creations.
7) God’s plan for creation is in man because Jesus also took on human form.
The answer to a question that is important. What does it mean to say that man was created in the image and likeness of man?
Whenever we see that man is made in the image of God, we do not mean that he was made in the physical form of God. Because God is a spirit (John 4:24). We
can say that man is made morally in the image of God, which includes intelligence, free will, emotions (that too only to some extent or level).
God is a spirit.
Man has a physical body – immaterial – soul and spirit
God is a spirit. There is no physical structure in man.
Angels also do not have any physical structure or parts.
Psalm 8:4 – Do you pay attention to it?? You pay attention.
What are God’s main purposes in creating man?
To have fellowship with God. (Genesis 3:8-1 John 1:3)
To rule over the earth. –Genesis 1:26)
To worship God. (Genesis 4:4,26,-6:8-9)
To glorify God. (Psalm 34:1-3-Revelation 5:13)
What is the plan for all creation?
Revelation 13:8 – The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world: Jesus
Genesis – refers to “the world”.
The foundation of all things is Christ and if the foundation is removed
If the foundation is removed, nothing is.
The whole plan is and is in Christ.
A very good commentary can be seen in Colossians 1:15-18. Through Him and for Him.
Bhahatchab Lyatabhagya
Psalm 8:3 – If we consider man and creation, we can see the light of God or know that there is a God. (Ordinary light)
“Intellectual Shaper” “Intellectual Pattern”
“Has a shape and is very intelligent” We can see in verse 3 of the universe, the sun, the moon and the earth and the planets – David also understood this and at the same time all living beings also have a pattern or shape.
If there is a shape or pattern, then it also tells us that there is an intelligent person who gives the shape or pattern.
If there is a clock, mobile, map, picture, more than that, because the shape of the universe and the human race have a pattern in living beings, there is or is a shaper, a patterning intellectual person and He is God.
According to evolution, one must have come from a non-living thing, that must have happened, bacteria, monkeys, humans (they say millions of years, but it is proven without saying why).
There is no creature without a brain, a person without any organ dies.
Without all organs, one cannot survive – such as the heart, liver, kidneys, blood, brain, etc.
Otherwise, one cannot survive (we know very well).
It did not come through evolution, the spiritual shaper God created man all at once.

Let’s read Psalm 8:5, read from 5-8 .
We can find order in God’s creation and also in the church and God.
God
Angels
Humans
The animal world and creation
Father, Son, Holy Spirit, equal in one and order
The chosen ones and also fallen angels
Satan and evil spirits
This order is explained in Psalm 8:5-8. (And mainly Genesis 1:26)
We can experience this order even today. The animal world is afraid of man (e.g. snakes).
This teaching is explained by referring to Psalm 8 in Hebrews and chapters.
Hebrews 2:9 – We can find that even when Jesus became a man, he took this human order for a while.
But now believers (the redeemed)
The Triune God
Believers
Angels
Unbelievers
Since the animal world and creation
are in Christ, Hebrews 2 chapter 2 Christ is greater than the angels (1 Corinthians 6:2-4) verse by verse, while he is in the world, he is less than the angels – practical),
so we can also find an order in the church and family or marriage. 1 Corinthians 11:3.
God the Father
Christ
Holy Spirit
Male
Female
Now we have learned a little about what man is.
Man is special.
In Genesis 1 and 2 chapters – He created Adam and Eve and now all the children of that same Adam and Eve.
Acts 17:26 – Paul also says the same thing, that all nations were created from one blood. (Romans 5:12 onwards is also explained.
On the 6th day of creation, God created man.
Adam and Eve are real people.
(Genesis 4:1-5, Luke 3:38, Romans 5:14, 1 Corinthians 15:22 and 45, 1 Thessalonians 2:13-14)
Now let’s look briefly at how God created man.
It is mentioned in Genesis 1:26-27.
1) Other creatures are not described in this way. That is, man is His special creation.
2) So that man can know, study, and understand, and we can see the same thing happening today.
2:5 – He created with a purpose, man is responsible to God and to creation. The main hand in weakening his position towards God is humans, other animals have not spoiled him.
In verse 7 – 7 – the physical body of man is made of the soil of the earth.
Chemistry tells us that when chemists found some amazing similarities between the chemical composition of the earth and the chemical composition of the human body. The important chemicals necessary for the formation of the human body can also be found in the earth.
Such as –
That is why Psalm 103:14 – For he knows the formation of us: he remembers that we are dust.
(We can also find it in Ecclesiastes 12:7)
(Source above – Balaam Nyam Kabasma Kashlaabh Ayalayachmka Tajabha Byatajayachtath Ya Tajabha Dyashdhabhi Mch.
Genesis 2:7 This very beautiful body was made by God.
God took a lump of the dust of the ground and formed the human body.
But until God breathed the breath of life into it in verse 7, it was just a lifeless body.
Now the soul and body come to life only when God breathes the breath or spirit of life into it.
That is why in 1 Thessalonians 5:23 we can see that there is a spirit, soul and body.
Now we can see these three parts in man – which we will study in detail in other classes.
And we can also find this in Hebrews 4:12.
The Word of God is a sword – soul, spirit and joints and marrow (flesh).
Some say that man is only two parts.
They say that man is only soul and body.
But Hebrews 4:12 says that soul and spirit are separate parts.
In Romans 1:9 Paul says that I serve God with my spirit.
Some say that “monotheism” or syllogism – this says that man is only a body and a mixture of chemicals.
This is a view found among “evolutionists” as well as atheists.
They say that man does not have a soul and a spirit.
But they cannot explain human emotions, love, hate, the ability to think, consciousness, language and other very important human emotions and that they are not chemicals. (They say they do not know and they say they are looking)?
That is why the Bible clearly states that there are three parts of a “triune” or invincible human being – spirit, soul and body.
If we study 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 4:12 and other passages, it becomes clear.
We also fully believe this.
Perhaps the inability to distinguish the functions of the soul and spirit comes to mind.
The state of Adam and Eve before and after they sinned.
Before the fall or sinfulness, Adam and Eve were completely innocent. (The provision of innocence)
The environment in which they were and they themselves had no conscience. Genesis 2:25 – They were not ashamed.
Genesis 3:5 – They had not known what conscience was until then.
They were not guilty of sin and were completely innocent.
They could have direct fellowship with God.
Now, the spirit, soul, body
With the unbeliever
The soul, body,
soul, soul, is inactive because of sin. (Romans 5:12)
But when someone believes in Jesus, his spirit is awakened. (Romans 5:21) (Ephesians 2:1), verses 5 and 18.
The spirit, soul, body is aware of the world.
It is aware of God. It
is aware of itself. Why is it necessary to explain that at what time does a person receive his soul, soul, and body? We can clearly see
that with Adam and Eve. Now at what time do people after that receive their soul, soul, and body. This is also very important to know. There are different ideas (we will study this too). 1. It is believed that the soul and soul of any person or animal reincarnates in another person or animal after death. This idea is called “pre-existence” (pre-birth). The Bible does not teach such a teaching and it is false. We can find this kind of belief in Hinduism. The Bible clearly states in Hebrews 9:27, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this judgment.” There is no other life but this life. Judgment is also once. Hinduism says that if one does good deeds, one will be born a human being in another life, otherwise one will be a sparrow, a mouse, a fly, which the Bible proves to be a lie. There is no other life. The life according to deeds is a lie. The danger of this teaching is that people think that they will be deceived and that even after death they will have another life on earth and that they will be right with God at that time. When they die, it is too late. That is why ghosts do not haunt the soul of a person. Unbelievers go to “Hades” when they die, but to wait for the white throne of judgment. Believers go to heaven when they die (we will study this in the last days). (Sometimes evil spirits impersonate and blind people) (needs to explain a little). Another popular view that can also be found in Christianity is “human creationism,” which believes that God gives life and spirit to a person at conception. It believes that whenever a person is conceived, God gives life and spirit at the same time, and the body is formed. This view suggests that the soul has a different origin from the body (Ecclesiastes 12:7 ÷ Isaiah 42:5 ÷ Zechariah 12:1 ÷ Hebrews 12:9). However, there are some weaknesses in this view (although it is also popular in the Christian community). 1. Genesis 2:2-3 suggests that God rested from the creation of the physical world and has not created anything since then. The Bible is clear that the soul, spirit, and body of all mankind are sinful, but how can sin exist if God creates the soul and spirit every time?

This leads us to the third view. And that is A.T.E
3. Triducianism (Tchabmagashabalashkam0)
We also believe in this view and it is both biblical and practical. This view states that the soul and spirit are given by the parents at the moment of conception. This view states that the soul, spirit and body are distributed by the parents at the moment of conception.
This means that a child gets both the physical and immaterial parts from its parents or grandparents.
We will also prepare some biblical bases for this.
Adam Eve
Genesis 2:7 tells us that God created the first man and Eve (some time later).
Adam’s physical part was not only the body but also the immaterial parts soul and spirit.
As mentioned earlier, Genesis 2:2-3 indicates that God stopped doing this work.
Genesis 5:3 When Adam begot Seth, he begot a son in his own likeness, in his own image, which is the same explanation used in Genesis 1:26.
That is why it is natural for the children to show the same qualities and nature as the parents.
Even if it is not seen in some generations, some of them begin to appear in the next generation. (Only the Lord Jesus Christ is different, but all others come into this world in this way). It
is important to know about this and the question arises in the universe.
Now let’s study the subject of soul, spirit and body.
1. Body.. In the New Testament, the Greek word for body is used. There are 5 senses that we will study about. The
Greek word for body is also used, but most often this word refers to our normal body, when our body is controlled by the old sin nature and starts to run our lives. Now it is necessary to know the difference between soul and body.
Mainly, the word soma refers to these five senses.
(1) Smell (2) Touch (3) Taste (4) Hearing (5) Seeing
These functions of our body are important.
There is nothing wrong with the body soma (soul), the body itself is not sinful.
It keeps us alive and we use our body.
Similarly, Christ also assumed the body, but our “old sin nature” expresses itself through the body.
And when the body controlled by the old sin nature is “something”.
A worldly person or a worldly believer.
We will also study the subject of the old sin nature in the scriptures but we will also explain some here. Romans 7:19-20 (sin singular old sin nature)
Even after believing, we sin but less, when we do not want to, we make mistakes, we sin. To be angry, to be jealous, to be greedy, to lie, we know to think evil, to desire, to be proud, we know we don’t want to but we have the old sinful nature. (The old sinful nature was ashamed when I cleaned the tishbhita).

Some key words used for the mind
(1) Lygaka – the seat of consciousness, the mind, the intellect, the seat of reflective thought, and the faculty of knowledge, understanding, thinking or feeling, judging and determining. (Luke 24:45 ÷ Romans 1:28, 6:23, 25 ÷ 11:34 ÷ 12:2 ÷ 14:4)
(2) Mshbalayashva – the mind, understanding, intelligence, feeling, state, state of mind, thinking repeatedly. (Matthew 22:37, 1 John 5:20, Hebrews 8:10 ÷ 10:16).
(3) ἀλλαῖμῆς – idea, perception, mind, intention, (1 Peter 4:1)
(4) ἀλλαῖμῆς – thought, shape, mind, (2 Corinthians 3:14, 4:4, 11:3, Philippians 4:7)
(5) ἀλλαῖμῆς – purpose, judgment, perception, mind (Philemon 14 ÷ Revelation 17:13)
(6) ἀκάκηλάζωβ – thought in the mind (Romans 8:6, 7, 27)
(7) ἀκάκηλάζωβ – understanding, directed toward right action Luke 1:17, Ephesians 1:18.
We will study the subject of the soul.
The soul represents who we are. In fact, when we use the word personality, we are actually referring to the soul.
In Hebrew it is “λβουχβάζωβάζ” and in Greek it is “εκγαζωβάζωβά” Genesis 2:7.
The soul is very important.
Matthew 16:27 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul (that is, his soul)? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul (the soul of the soul)? Mark 8:36,37
The soul is of great value.
That is why we call the gospel a loss.
Matthew 22:37 Mark 12:30 Luke 10:27 Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind—the soul is the most important part of the soul.
(The soul of unbelievers will be in hell Romans 2:9) We may look outwardly to see what is good, but we know what is inside. The physical appearance is the soul, but the conduct is the soul.
And we also invest in the soul of a person.
Hebrews 13:17 The physical things are not the first priority, but the necessary things are enough. Simple clothing, simple food, simple bedding.
But we invest in the soul. Now the Holy Spirit communicates the new spirit Romans 8:16.
And we can look at James 1:21 that “from verses 19 to 21” it is necessary to look at verse 21 that can save your souls.
The Word is the first priority and “soul” is the first priority.
The soul comes before the body “Matt. 10:28 “The soul is related to itself and its surroundings.
We see in Genesis 2:7 that “soul” comes into being only after the breath of life is breathed in. That is why the soul without the soul must suffer much, a reality that we see more in unbelievers.
There are 5 important parts of the soul.
1) Mind
2) Will
3) Discernment
4) Consciousness
5) Emotions
1
) Mind – The middle part of the soul (mind) is very important. It is in the mind that we process thoughts.
The mind is the main part of the soul because its condition affects the other parts of the soul.
According to the verse we studied earlier, Matthew 22:36 – Love with all your heart.
God also has a mind – Romans 11:34 – Philippians 2:5, 1 Corinthians 2:16 (the mind of the Lord, the mind of Christ).
The Greek word for mind is lygk. It refers to the immaterial realm of man from which he thinks and imagines.
Definition of mind – the place of logical thinking, the part that presents intelligence, which thinks, knows, draws conclusions, or intellect
. Now the mind also has 5 functions
1) It thinks.
2) It remembers.
3) It knows or knows.
4) It imagines.
5) It understands.
These are all five functions of the mind.
Similarly, when we read Romans 8:6-7,
because the minding of the flesh is death, but the minding of the Spirit is life and peace. Verse 7 Because the carnal mind is not subject to the law of God, because it cannot be.
Because of sin (or the fall) the mind is darkened (Romans 1:18-30)
but Romans 12:2 says that – “by the renewing of our minds”
Philippians 2:5, 1 Corinthians 2:16 – we have the mind of Christ.
Romans 12:2 – a renewed or renewed mind.
When we define myatchaslav (education) this way.
As the Bible says “education is to think with God” or
education (myatchaslav) teaches us to think with God.
I know and follow the teachings and the thoughts of God in every matter.
Satan also tries to attack the mind (a major part of the mind) or the mind. Which we looked at in the first class (Titus 1:15, Hebrews 12:3, 2 Thessalonians 2:2, 1 Timothy 6:5, 2 Timothy 3:8, Philippians 3:19, Colossians 1:21, 2:18)
2 Corinthians 11:3 “Satan also invaded the mind of Eve, and also us” (Ephesians 2:3).
Ephesians 4:23 – And be renewed in the spirit of your “mind”.
Also Hebrews 8:10, 10:16 – (Greek word for mind) I will put my laws (words) into your minds (hearts)
so that we study the myatchaslav (teachings) and are renewed in our minds.
The mind of Christ prevails.
We recognize and overcome the deceptions of Satan (as mentioned earlier in James 1:21)
We are renewed in our minds…that is why education is so important.
This new mind, which is full of teaching, establishes the “righteous mind” of 2 Timothy 1:7
, and now God controls our mind through the Holy Spirit, and as mentioned earlier, the mind influences the other parts of the soul. Now, because of the right mind, right will, right conscience, right awareness, and right emotion are prepared, and the soul begins to act at the behest of God. That is why Mark 4:24 Jesus says, “Be careful what you hear.” Luke 8:18 Jesus says, “Be careful how you hear.”
Because it affects the mind and at the same time affects the other 4 parts, meaning the soul.
Do not listen to the message (word) of the person you get (
only from your own umbrella (Pastor Rajan and (other teachers),
Worldly songs also affect and influence the soul.
Worldly movies also affect and influence the soul.
Satan also affects his message through these things.
(Especially targeted at the youth, advertising, fashion)
And it affects the soul (affects the thinking system and psychology)
Even if you listen to someone who talks or who gossips, it affects the soul.
But now the soul and mind full of education do the right thing and decide and now the power of “stopping” is developed and strengthened and the right choice and decision is made.
Now the soul is full of the right information and communicates the same message to other parts.
In a sense, “by the Holy Spirit “Controlled mind (or soul)”
A mind dominated by worldly desires – double-minded (James 1:8, 4:8) or a twisted mind (Luke 12:29)
unable to discern (like Samson)
and unable to make the right choice.
We have to regret it. Wrong choices
affect all areas of life (soul).
(Marriage, spiritual life, work, business) in all
– give the mind some time…because it affects the other four areas as well.
Now…let’s look at some minds and their brief meanings:
1) The carnal mind or carnal mind – Romans 8:7 – It has wrong thoughts and it makes wrong mental decisions.
3) The mind of vanity – Ephesians 4:17 – A mind that is full of passion, anger and weakness.
4) The mind of defilement – Titus 1:15 – This is a corrupt mind that is full of sin and weakness, full of wrong thoughts of worldly law and full of human thinking defense mechanisms for committing sin.
5) The spiritual mind – Romans 8:6 – This is the mind that is capable of receiving and using knowledge from God.
6) The pure mind – 2 Timothy 1:7 – This is the mind that is motivated by the love poured out in the heart by the Holy Spirit, a very controlled thinking system, a heart that can give people right understanding. 7
) The mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5, 1 Corinthians 2:16, Colossians 3:11) The mind of the believer who is filled with the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.
Now let’s look at the second part of the soul, “the will.”
First of all, we know that God gave us free will, which we can find in Genesis 2:16. This is where we see the gift of free will.
God did not create “robots” (robots are controlled by the will of God)
. He created man with free will.
If man wants to trust God, he can.
And if he doesn’t want to trust, he doesn’t have to.
Today, people are free because God made them that way.
That’s why they can accept, reject, choose.
As we know, love and worship can only be practiced in a free willed being. It also perfectly represents the working of salvation.
Will – is the part of the soul by which man makes choices or choices.
God gave this part to man so that he could choose the things of God.
Adam and Eve could choose, had a will and did choose.
Whether the fruit from the tree of good and evil or the fruit from the tree of life is really a matter of choosing God or choosing oneself.
2 Peter 1:21 – Man’s will “did not come”
1 Corinthians 7:37 – but he has authority over his own will,
John 1:13 – not from man’s will.
Ephesians 2:3 – the desires of the flesh (controlled by the old sin nature)
(There are other words that refer to – choice)
The word “will” is used about 45 times in the New Testament. 80% of these are used for God’s will.
Jesus taught us to pray – Matthew 6:10, Thy will be done Other passages – Romans 1:10, Ephesians 1:1
We need to choose God and God’s plan
Now the human will does the following 5 things.
1) Choice
2) Decision
3) Consent
4) Obedience and
5) Listening.
We can see the choice of Abraham and Lot in Genesis 13.
13:10-11 – We can see Lot’s choice.
He chose what he saw with his eyes .
He chose physical beauty.
And we can see the result in Chapter 14
13:12-18 – Abraham waits for God and in verse 14
God tells him where to go.
There are other examples like this….Next
we see Martha and Mary in Luke 10:38-42…
In verse 42 – Mary has chosen the good part…
a very good choice….we can see….God
wants us to make the right choice, decision, consent, disobedience and listening.

Now let’s look at the third part:
The third part of the soul is “conscience”
in Greek – the word “conscience” is used.
By which we know, in any person, the testimony of conduct is born through conscience, by which we know the will of God.
Which is designed or shaped to control our lives.
The part that feels guilty before God. (Hebrews 10:2)
This is a system of thought that distinguishes between morally good and bad. (Example 3-year-old child rape and molestation)
It honors good and rejects evil, while emphasizing good and cannot tolerate evil.
Romans 2:15 – The conscience of unbelievers also bears witness…
It bears witness that God is…
Romans 9:1 – Paul says, “I am telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing witness with me in the Holy Spirit…..the conscience controlled by the Holy Spirit…
.. This conscience is a work of the Spirit.
Other passages – 2 Corinthians 1:12, Romans 13:5, 1 Corinthians 10:25,27,28,29, 2 Corinthians 4:2, 1 Corinthians 8:10,12 1 Peter 2:19
Practically,
the conscience is the part of the soul where the standard and system for right and wrong are established
An example is
the woman caught in adultery in John 8:1-11,
especially in verse 9. We see that…
and all who heard this were convicted by their own conscience, from the greatest to the least… (Romans 2:14-15)
Other passages – Acts 23:1, 1 Timothy 1:5, 19-4:2 Hebrews 9:14
Conscience is a measuring stick – shaped by background, as well as by tradition, training, and education. Most of the time, conscience can tell you the right thing, but not always . In some cultures, marriage within the same family may be allowed, but not in all… but conscience can
tell you otherwise . The condition of women… in some cases is terrible (in some Muslims)… even conscience does not blame… untouchability, in some cultures people sacrifice and conscience does not blame (like this and that) Our conscience is based and trained by information, culture, family, education, training. Conscience tells us what is right and wrong. It acts as a measure. (Romans 2:14-15) That is why it is not always right. The conscience of the believer – must be based on the Word of God and the grace of God. Grace must be the foundation of all thought, preconceptions, conclusions, behavior and actions. The knowledge and teaching of the Word of God must fill the empty conscience. So that the Word is the basis for the conscience to build the standard of all things. Now 1 Timothy 4:2 – A seared conscience A seared conscience This conscience has not worked because it has been seared. In the context of false teachers and teachings, the moral law is rejected and the voice of the Holy Spirit is ignored in this regard and… Weak conscience 1 Corinthians 8:7,12 – The conscience of new believers (the conscience of unbelievers is weak – because of sin) This is a conscience that has not been deepened by the Word: it feels guilty about small things. This conscience needs training through the Word… Education.. Like a new student, disciple, new believer . Another is – an unclean conscience (like a weak conscience). A life full of orthodoxy and luxury.. Just as all excuses work for the lazy, so does luxury work for the greedy. Hebrews 10:22 – Evil conscience. When the conscience is sick, it becomes evil. Full of sin and guilt and is guided by it..
And a good conscience (1 Peter 3:16, 21 ÷ 1 Timothy 1:5, 19 ÷ Acts 23:1 ÷ Hebrews 13:18)
trained by the Word, filled with teaching, receptive to the voice of the Spirit, filled with grace and perfected works. This is the conscience needed in ministry.
A conscience filled with the truth of the Word
A conscience determined by the Word and the Spirit (Bhavavishl)
Now, a pure conscience – 1 Timothy 3:9 and 2 Timothy 1:3
A conscience in constant communion with the Word, a
conscience in close communion with God
A conscience that has confessed sin
and finally a perfect conscience – Hebrews 9:9 ÷ 9:14 ÷ 10:2
A conscience washed by the blood of Christ A conscience that is pure
, without blame, without guilt,
in the experience of daily life itself
Now let’s look at the fourth part of the soul – consciousness (consciousness)
. For that, look at Genesis 3:7.
This is awareness when Adam and Eve realized that they were naked.
It did not affect them before they sinned.
But now that they know, they always had awareness – it did not come after they sinned.
If there was divine awareness before sin, they were a little more aware of themselves than before.
Being aware of things around them (if something falls).
Not only to feel danger (when an earthquake comes), when people run away, when someone shouts loudly, but also to feel fear, insecurity.
Awareness is a mental state where a person feels or understands his own mental processes and actions.
In this section, what we have studied is that the human soul is conscious or aware of itself.
It is studied in more depth in cognitive psychology. Other
animals also have some part of awareness, such as feeling unsafe, running away, running if there is danger around, birds stay away from people. –
They are aware of the world or their surroundings, and to some extent they are also aware of themselves.
As can be seen from the picture.
–From words –By listening
–From the path picture –By remembering the past
–From signs –This is an awareness or knowledge
but now at another level of awareness we become aware of how events and things relate to ourselves.
Because of the new spirit and the ministry of the Holy Spirit…Now we become aware of God and God’s works, God’s plan and work and how am I related to it…?
The church (Dyamatha Shiva) life is important.
For example,
in Luke 15, there is the story or parable of the prodigal son.
15:17 The prodigal son comes.
He gradually becomes aware of the love of the father.
He becomes aware, becomes aware.
The word is important.
And now the 5th part of the soul is “emotions”
emotions – yes, this is what we are experiencing.
Now, these are many complex reactions with psychological or physical manifestations of love, happiness, hatred, fear, anger.
The Old Testament and the New Testament were written in Hebrew and Greek respectively.
(Some parts in Aramaic)
There were no words for “emotion” in Hebrew and Greek.
That is why words like kidney, stomach, womb, intestines can be found in the Old Testament. In some cases, these words are used as “compassion”.
We can find emotions in the book of Psalms.
Emotions act as reacting, appreciating and expressing.
Emotions have the greatest impact on the mind.
Emotions are not for thinking but in the mind and (heart) we think.
Instead of the mind, the soul is uncontrolled by emotions, that is why anger, quarrel, crying, laughter … can sometimes be found to be uncontrolled. The reason for thinking with emotions (when emotions affect the mind)
is negative or positive effects… sleeplessness….
That is why decisions should not be taken when you are emotional.
In haste, fear, anger, jealousy….. Decisions should not be made.

It is necessary to make decisions through the Word, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, with God and through spiritual advice, but not emotionally.
Pa. Kt. Bhabhabhabha wrote “B dhvapi tjabat mbhabhabatak tjabh bhlazhath”
Genesis 3:14 “You will crawl on your “belly””.
Ezekiel 28:15 Ardham “In one emotion, in half”.
“You will crawl and be controlled”.
Psalm 73:21 Conscience – Psthibaja
It is felt in the emotions.
Seeing the progress of the wicked.
Song of Songs 5:4 My heart overflows with love for him.
This happened because of love.
We keep God’s love in our emotions.
At the same time, emotions are the main center for joy.
In Luke 15:28, we see that the elder son was emotional.
(1 John 3:17, etc.)
Negative Sinful Emotions
Despair: Self-absorbed, feeling inferior, giving up, not caring about others.
Persistent guilt: Punishing oneself, feeling worthless
Not taking responsibility for oneself.
Revenge – Holding grudges against others.
Motivated by revenge
Discouragement – giving up trying, anger
Anxiety – based on assumptions
Positive Emotions
Grief: Loss, death (death of a loved one)
Seeing the suffering of others
Structured grief – 2 Corinthians 7:8-10
Motivation to improve behavior
Anger – toward sin and sinlessness, because of holiness
Motivated resentment – relying on God
Because of what one cannot do or is incapable of doing
Concern – about future events that may separate me from God (plan).
But (God’s) inspired thoughts on good things…
1. Full of fellowship with God.
2. Full of the Word of God (feelings do the right thing.
Now we study the subject of the human soul.
In Greek, pneuma (Elohim) – the first word
is “a” – the soul of man
, the second word is “k” – the Holy Spirit
(Elohim is most often correct in this context)
Elohim – the same word is used for the Holy Spirit and the soul of man.
When translating Elohim,
the soul of man was written as “k” and the Holy Spirit was written as “k”. An example is Romans 8:16,
which tells us that
because of sin (the fall), the Holy Spirit left Adam and Eve and without the Holy Spirit the human soul cannot live or be active… (This is the reality of unbelievers).
Now we know that when a person believes in Jesus, his new spirit is awakened or made alive and has a soul, body and spirit.
(Romans 5:12-19, Ephesians 2:1 and 1 Thessalonians 5:23)
The Holy Spirit communicates the things of God to the new spirit. The new spirit communicates to the soul and now the soul responds to that communication.
That is why we think differently and can understand the things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9-13
Verse 11 – The Spirit of Man and Other Verses The Holy Spirit
There are three main functions or parts of the human spirit.
The human spirit which is related to God and the spiritual life.
Body – conscious of the world (surroundings, outward appearances).
Soul – conscious of self. (personality, about oneself)
Spirit – conscious of God. – related to and in fellowship with Him)
Functions of the Three New Spirits
1. Interrogation means the Spirit has the power to know things without reasoning or knowledge.
1 John 2:20 – But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.
2.
Fellowship John 4:24 – God is the Spirit.
Fellowship is to share or to understand something.
In the Spirit man finds God.
Where he has fellowship and cooperation with God.
1 Corinthians 2:11 – Only the Spirit knows and reveals God. Walking with Jesus and knowing Him.
3. Conscience – Different from the conscience of the soul.
Romans 9:1
The conscience of the spirit – distinguishes right from wrong based on moral laws…
The conscience of the spirit – distinguishes what is from God and what is from man.
Now…let’s go to the heart of man… The heart is the whole soul
that
automatically knows that it is true.
The heart of man is deceitful…
. The heart is the whole man.
Yes, it does many things, including pumping blood.
But if it doesn’t work, it’s over.
That’s why the heart refers to the whole man.
The natural heart or the old heart or the old man is deceitful.
Matthew 15:19 – From the heart (old heart)…what comes.
Mark 7:21-23 – From within or from the heart.
Key Verse: Read Jeremiah 17:9-10
This is the old heart.
It cannot know or serve God.
That is why He gives us a new heart (new man).
Jeremiah 24:7, Ezekiel 36:27, 11:19, Romans 2:29, Psalm 51:10
“Now, the believer will have a new heart” along with the old heart for a time. The old sin nature…
in Greek “pbachamsheb”.. The heart is a thinking base that produces intentions (motives or intentions) and complete beliefs for all areas of life….
Three Principles of the Heart
1) It is a place where all the actions of the soul take place.
2) It is a place where all intentions and thoughts originate.
3) This is a place from which knowledge, information and personal decisions
ultimately lead to methods and principles of practicality.
Now, in the case of Rijbalabh Bh, Rijbalabh Vdya, and Rijbalabh Vri, there is only Rijbalabh Bh and Rijbalabh Vri.
