Jayamsih! Welcome to today’s devotion.
Appointed for Praise
- Psalm 34:1
If we wait for the time when we are gathered together with a provision to praise God, we cannot praise God all the time. Time only measures circumstances, so that Adam may remember his inconsistency. Eternity has an immeasurable grace to fill the empty moments of life. The fabric of circumstances does not contain divine content, but it is constructed so that we become divine substances, which remain as content within its walls. No matter what horizontal walls are placed around us administratively, we see Jesus Christ above us, to end every situation by faith.
In 1 Chronicles 16:3, every Israelite was given 1/1 bread, 1/1 piece of good meat, and 1/1 jug of wine. We are given a body in which we are hidden (Colossians 3:3), a portion of Christ through which to serve (Romans 12:6-8) and a vessel through which life grows. When we realize that eternity has made an unchangeable arrangement, we are prepared to bless God long before time raises its presentation of circumstances.
We are appointed to praise God (1 Chronicles 16:6). Either we receive the grace to reveal the truth about Christ or the grace we receive brings the truth into our lives to make us a light witness of God’s work.
If we are still children in Christ and the Word of God rarely dwells in our innermost parts, we are only as blessed as we are proud of what God has done. When humble ears hear the joy of salvation, they never cease to rejoice.
