God has revealed Himself through these names as well.
– These names convey God’s attributes or characteristics.
Why so many names for the same God.. We will also study this.
1. God is telling us or revealing something about Him, and showing His attributes. 2. He
is completely sufficient for us.
3. He is the only true God.. There may be many other reasons. In
the Old Testament, three main names can be found used for God . 1.
Yahye – 2. Elohim

Adonai –
1. Yahye – สินว Forever – but eternal. Exodus 34:5-7 This name is often used when God is related to humans, especially in the time of man’s redemption. Yahyeh is used with or in the same form as Elohim. (e.g. Genesis 2:4) – Translated as Jehovah God. Yahyeh is also used with or in the same form as Adonai (e.g. Exodus 23:17) – Translated as Jehovah God. John 8:58-59 – Jesus claims Yahyeh. Names of God associated with Yahyeh: Hebrews 12:1-2 – 1. Yahyeh Nissi – God leads, guides and protects. – God is my banner. (Exodus 17:15) – Moses’ hands do not grow weary. The Lord is the leader. 2. Yahyeh “Raha” – The Lord is my shepherd (Psalm 23:1) John 10 3. Yahyeh Rapha – The Lord who heals. Jesus heals. (Exodus 15:26) 4. Yahye Samaha – The Lord is there, in the heavenly Jerusalem (is available) among His people (Ezekiel 48:35) 5. Yahye Sikenyu – The Lord is our righteousness. Christ is our righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:10) Jeremiah 23:6 refers to the Messiah. 6. Yahyeh Makadekem – The Lord who sanctifies, Hebrews 9:14, 10:10,14 (1 Corinthians 1:2 is (Leviticus 20:8) 7. Yahyeh Ere – The Lord who sees, or the Lord (Lamb) who gathers. (Genesis 22:14) 8. Yahyeh Salome – The Lord is peace, (Judges 6:24) John 14:27 My peace I give unto you. 9. Yahyeh Sabaoth – The Lord Almighty (Isaiah 1:24) Revelation 2. Elohim means – The one who is mighty and strong. – He is powerful and above all things.
