Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion!
So that I do not do
Psalm 119:11
- The Holy Spirit brings to mind the hidden word to reveal the glorious Christ. To the glory of God, Christ has been revealed and I have been saved from temptation for good. In humility I take the word that I may not sin against God. Trial – The Word is arranged for the soul to use to save me from the real life consequences of sin. If I take the promise in humility, having delivered my rights to Adam through the cross, the promise I take, even though I do not understand or know all that I have taken, is that my personal property is closed so that I do not fall into sin.
Many people take the word of God as the word of man. By doing so, they assume the right to evaluate the message and put their own thoughts and feelings into it as to how it should apply to their lives. They do not take the Word in humility and because of that they remain without experiential victory, and they wonder why this is so. Instead of following God’s man and listening to God by grace, people follow their own Adam and keep their rights. They miss the constant transmission of monotony and single-mindedness. Instead of submitting themselves to the living authority of God’s word, God’s man, God’s body, and the Son of God through the cross, people are ambivalent and let their faculties work in the sense of their own self-rights.
