Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion!
Walk with God and be no longer Him
Psalm 23:4-5
- It is very easy to pass through a neck and not walk through it, but to stay in it and be overcome by what circumstances have done. It’s easy to get tired of God because of the intricate details of the plan and resent the plan but still tell God you will. You cannot rejoice in God because as you go through it circumstances reveal that sometimes your attention is more than God’s love.
Believers have ups and downs. The reason is that they do not continue to understand what it means to walk until they reach that state, as Enoch did with God (Genesis 5:24). A believer never gets tired of walking. People sit and stop walking and situations leave their mark on them. Over the coming years, many similar situations in the believer produce a kind of circle, a strengthened ability to respond to certain influences in the same way. These believers do not know God’s protection (Psalm 16:1). They live with divided hearts. Something new comes along and they like it, but soon they tire of change. They live boring, uncreative and stagnant lives. They never give their full power to God, but they live without denying Adam’s natural pursuits. As God makes himself available to lift up a godly man or woman on a leash instead of life, instead of receiving, experiencing, and giving life to God’s progressive opportunities, they fall into decay and dullness.
