Welcome to today’s devotion.
Slaves of God
- Genesis 47:7
Some people are so insecure about following a man, they follow Adam’s nature and call it God. Adam acquires a little knowledge and becomes morally upright, and imagines that he is within God’s will. He imagines that he is producing fruit, and is productive for the state. He believes that he is guided by God. He rationalizes situations, reacts against true spirituality, and calls it his right to live.
True leaders of God must teach this subject and make it loud and clear. God has given grace to certain people, so that they receive a ministry from Him. God has chosen them for Himself. God is with them as He was with Moses. He will never abandon them. No man will be able to stand before them all their lives, and God will never fail them. They are the servants of God given and chosen by God through grace. They carry with them the power to bless. How a person relates to them determines how God will deal with that person. They may become old, dull-eyed and dull-eared like Jacob, but they carry the power to bless. Joseph brings Jacob to bless Pharaoh, because Joseph knows the order of administration.
It was God’s order, God has established a certain order, and in his order he chooses whoever wishes to serve him. It is never our place to establish God’s order or to live independently from it. Our position is to walk rightly in Christ, which means to know the hand of God through anointing, through power, through love, through determination, yes, through His people.
