Welcome to today’s devotion.
Creative Receptivity
Joshua 1:7-8
Meditating strengthens me. Worship is precious, and when I am distracted by praise, I will not be overwhelmed by something in my conduct toward God that falls short of what God has received; But what it gives me for devotion, for praise and for worship is contemplation.
Meditation leads to attention. Mindfulness leads to the uncovering of the unity of thoughts that God wants me to experience in the dark room of my potential, so that I can experience the light of His purpose in every aspect of my life. Meditation causes me to conceive from the Word of God, and with this conception gives me the opportunity to give the substance of life to produce the character of God’s life in my experience.
When believers learn to worship with meditation, praise with attention, and respond with devotion, they can enter into a wonderful deliverance through the Word. They have entered into that conception from the Word, which they are kept in by the concept of faith in the receptiveness of the creativity of grace. When believers do not worship, praise, meditate, or listen attentively, they do not become good receivers of God’s revelation. They are inadequate in all things. The only time they experience glory is when they are resting, or in need. We can live in the deliverance of the constant word brought by the mind.
