  • Romans 5:17, 6:3
    We read that every believer has received two things of great value. First, he has received an abundance of grace; And secondly, the gift of righteousness. Both of them rule in life. Most of the time believers are limited to the experience of the kingdom without, due to being born according to the order of Adam’s curse. But Christ Jesus, having accepted Him, we are given life to reign. We have an abundance of grace, which conquers all, and a gift of righteousness which secures our standing before God, giving us standing in time and eternity. Awakenings are sometimes marked by signs and wonders; But for a Spirit-filled Christian, who is living in a renewed heart, awakening is also about receiving revelation in God’s Word about God’s grace and – extending to a sinner. This grace gives us a life that goes beyond our deepest imagination.
    Signs and wonders can come, and they do, but we follow Him, because of His Word. We are excited and thrilled, because His word is breathing into our souls, reviving our souls, and its faculties to know Jesus. This is awakening. No wonder Paul never prayed that we, the people of God, should live by signs and wonders. Instead, he prayed, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may enlighten you with wisdom and light in the knowledge of Him, so that by grace we may reign in eternal life.”
