Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion!
Speaking of the end,
Jeremiah 29:11
Because of love, not a single thing in this universe can ever stop God’s grace from meeting His people in their response and their refusal to be with Him. Realize the thoughts that God has toward you – not thoughts of punishment, not thoughts of weariness, not thoughts of separation from His true character and His covenant nature. Practice in your mind, in your worship, and purposeful study that begins to know God’s thoughts.
His thoughts are not our thoughts. His thoughts are thoughts of peace—thoughts of peace because He does not forsake His covenant of peace and therefore He thinks about us in the sense of our relative end. Then, to bring us to that relatively final experience, He always finishes what He began. He has a plan and He has called us by sovereign grace. We didn’t earn anything for calling. But he called us, accepted us by grace, lives in us by grace, and has an end for us, an end that is not judgment but peace. His whole plan is to reveal who He is in our life-time, and by that revelation His thinking is to catch us. By the light of His thoughts, His nature is formed within us.
Come to the heart of God’s thoughts of peace. Because of God’s thoughts toward you, failure also means knowing love and living in a holy nature, which replaces the consequences of that failure. The thoughts of God give you a relative end in victory and leave sin to the end of death and defeat.
