Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion!
Faith is not a good weather
Jeremiah 17:7-9
- The eyes of our understanding need to be open so that we do not see the heat that this represents. We have one eye and our body is full of fire (Matthew 6:22). We do not look at the things that are seen, but look at the things that are not seen (2 Corinthians 8:18). We walk by faith and it pleases God (1 Corinthians 5:7; Hebrews 11:6).
A believer wins and does not see the heat when it comes.
No soul-filled person looks at the heat because the believer regulates his own temperature. The three Hebrew boys regulated the temperature and they never burned in the fiery furnace. We do not see the heat because God has brought us with that umbrella which is connected by His Godhead. Then we are sealed from death and punishment – because nothing can pierce our umbrella sealed from heaven. We know that we are hidden with Christ and no one can touch the risen and exalted Christ. We know that we are covered by Christ the length and the breadth and the depth and the height, with an unfailing love that discerns all that is against us, right and wrong. We don’t see the heat because we have only participated in one look of redemption. Instead of being left in the desert, we spread our roots in love so that despite the dryness, we do not stop bearing fruit, because we are bearing the fruit of redemption. We cannot be shut off from receiving its resources because we are the expression of our own resources.
