Living Locally in Experience
Philippians 1:1
- In order for our eyes to function, they must have physical body grounds. There must be a certain place for every part of the body of Christ, to be effective as a part. Until a believer is put to work and given a place to work, he has no way of being useful in the ordinary sense of Christendom.
God sees much of that where believers have no foundation to work with and they try to separate and work from a separate body, never having been grounded in the light of the cross by Christ, which would have brought them into right order. God never intended for our conduct to remain universally minded and never to be locally expressed in our faithfulness to the corporate body of Christ. The universal church, which is made up of believers from all over the world, has no value and is not administratively in love until it is a cooperative expression of Christ’s headship. That universal behavior people want to repair because in reality they can deny, they do it by what they think they know, which are the requirements demanded of God to work in His body.
If our behavior is to produce only a theory of the universal church and we never have a specific understanding of the church, which Jesus’ plan to establish in the local ministries of Galatia, Ephesus, and Philippi is revealed. Without special understanding, we will never reach our productivity through grace in Christ.
