Ephesians 4:11-16
- The man of God is not withholding anything from you, but he wants to give you something that you can hold on to. How many are those who use their authority in Adam to demand from men something that God can only give them by grace. The man of God cannot be in any way domineering or vengeful in Adam’s nature, for he has been crucified and clearly comes under the authority of love.
Authority often refers to a position of power or position above others. In contrast, Jesus, who washed the disciples’ feet. He who has a broken heart (Psalm 34:18), pouring out for others will never have a broken heart, which is lost in the true commitment of discipleship.
Do not miss the opportunity to be promoted by the ministry of God’s people. Obey his teaching, be devoted to his love, honor his ministry, cooperate with his purpose, be faithful unto death. Under the authority of God’s right hand of choice, at his right hand there is everlasting joy. We are living in a God-given place, administratively arranged with divine wisdom, so that we can now experience life as fully as possible.
Being a witness to God’s people – as Paul says “be ye my witnesses”, (1 Corinthians 4:16) – allows us to experience an umbrella of love, which identifies with life even in our most vulnerable state. When you find yourself in failure, you find him interceding, (Exodus 32:30-32).
