Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion!
Love from the beginning
Jeremiah 1:5
- Jeremiah was appointed by God as a prophet even before he was born. When God spoke to Jeremiah, he was living in the plan of foreknowledge. Because of the provision of the lamb, God knew the possibilities and the realities. Jeremiah was also holy and blameless at this time, perfected in the provision of the Lamb.
A person can experience a life in which he is included not only in time but in eternity, that is long before he personally experiences eternal life. Every believer is part of the eternal substance of God’s plan. There is no need to say that we have to wait for this or that to happen. Right now we are pure and blameless. We don’t even have to wait to experience it. We live only in the experience of love, which was for us from the foundation with Christ. Why should we be occupied with what we experience in time, when in God’s plan for eternity Christ will express hope in us and fulfill His glory? Through foreknowledge, God saw the choice of our free will that caused Him to develop a plan, molding us into the will that was His will for us in a heart of love.
In the work of Calvary, Christ did not consider it a problem to lay down his life for the world. He did not come to this earth as a slain lamb. He did not have to acquire humility in order to wash the feet of his disciples. Because of the love he carried in his heart, he was cut before the disciples were born.
