Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion!
Being uncomfortable with claims
Luke 18:23
- What I learned yesterday in the presence of God is not relevant today. We may know things about the cross, and accept those things, but the cross must be lived in my fellowship with God today, so that I die daily and live forever for God.
The personality always wants to mock people, by injuring the senses, causing conflict in the body and confusion in the faculties. You can be as a loser as you want to be, as your personality tells you from its experience, or you can be in every area God has declared life. Because you experience a personal cross, which brings experiential revival in every area.
Most people never experience change. They spend their lives listening to magical statements, struggling with religious practice in anticipation of emotional experiences, and living in expectation of ‘push-button change’. But the resurrection is simple, childlike and full of grace, and it allows us to experience its operation without self-experience. Anticipating it, people say that it must be a very tiring experience. Of course, self-awareness, when we try to gain self-life through the cross and yet come with our own rights, is really uncomfortable. The remedies of the cross are contradictory to Adam’s desires. People often want their feelings touched, so they can know God in His work. But the senses do not permit faith to experience the visible changes wrought by the invisible God.
