Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion!
Nothing is far from its sickness.
1 Corinthians 11:27-30
- Those who accept redemption. Without Christ revealing his heart to every human being, the Christian faith can be meaningless. If a person lives in a self-centered, incurable nature, the Christian life is meaningless. There is also sickness in the church. Church members who claim to be believers may say what they are not, may not experience what they profess, may not give what they receive, and may not live what they have been redeemed for. On the other hand, if a person says, “God is love,” and begins to judge people based on their ability to love without entering into the redemption of love, then that person ends up with a construct of love, but denies its power. If there is no monopoly of love in the manifestation of the life of believers, the Christian life is meaningless. A tired heart can produce nothing but its own life. A diseased
head can give nothing more than the substance of its disease (Isaiah 1:5). If a church goes into conservatism, jealousy and judgment, how can it stand healthily in the love that God gives to his people? People live in their own mental illness, and yet they accept the tenets of the Christian faith. They themselves do not experience what God said. They cannot give what they have received, and they cannot apply what God has wrought in them.
God has committed himself to us, so that we can live in a balanced mind. With life we allow God to commit himself to us.
